Emerge Mastercard ripoff, SCAM, DRIVE UP FEES, DRIVE UP BALANCE, RUIN CREDIT Atlanta Georgia
On the morning of 3-12-2003, my wife called Emerge Mastercard regarding her account. She had recieved a statement saying she had not paid the previous month.
The problem stemmed from the fact that my wife had not recieved a statement in the prior month. When she told the Emerge representative of this, my wife was told "statements are only sent out as a courtesy." The rep was extremely nasty to wife, who also happens to be home on bed rest as instructed by her physician due to complications during her pregnancy.
The lady from Emerge continued to berate, harrass and raise her voice at my wife and was not cooperative in resolving the issue. The call ended when the Emerge representative hung up on my wife.
Statments are a "courtesy"?
Is this how customer service treat their customers?
They do not send statements, than charge late fees and raise their minimum payment requirements? Is that even lawful?

I was lured into the notion to think we have companies that were interested in resolving credit issues. Let's face it, they don't. The best solution to debt recovery is sitting down and become your own management company. There's no need getting more credit cards to try and fix past problems. Why pay more? Stick with paying off past balances and when the time come for reviewing your credit report a better interest rate will be offered. Providian/Aria/Emerge/Get Smart found a way to ripe people off and hide like Saddam. Do exactly what the titles state "Get Smart and better manage your money and Emerge from chasing Paul to pay Peter. I hope and pray a class action law suit Emerge from the scandals that Providian started.
