I did work for Emergency Interiors and was promised I would get all money owed to me once I submitted hours and amount due me. The information was submitted over two months ago but no money has been paid. This company is supposed to be helping families of disaster, flood or people in need of furniture. The furniture comes from the national furniture bank and the Army and Naval bases. I helped set up the warehouse/showroom and reupholstered damaged items. In an effeort to aviod paying me I was told they couldn't meet payroll but the remaining employees continue to get paid, plus two new people have been hired. I was informed by another ex-employee that there were never any intentions to pay for my services. My letters, email and phone calls are all being ignored and if I go to the labor department there has been threats made that I would regret it. I just want the money owed to me without causing any problems. This is a non-profit company but not operation according to the laws for obtaining a 5013C status. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
