Emerson Funai wants a month to fix LCD TV ALbany New Jersey
I bought a 32 inch Emerson LCD from Walmart. At 5 months, to the day, this TV stopped working. Now, Walmart can do nothing, since it has been over 3 months.
A call to Emerson help line, got this response. I need to send them $60 and give them 10 to 15 business days for them to come and pick it up. Then after they fix this 5 month old LCD, they will send it back. So now I am out another 60 dollars, plus having my new Emerson 32 LCD be gone for a month. They do not want people fixing them, I was told by some local repair guys. Just go and buy new.
Then there product should last longer than % months.

Well, Jerry, you could start your quest for a new TV with Consumer Reports' TV test reports

And this time take the time to select a brand with a favorable repair history. Consumer Reports also provides brand repair histories.
While you are waiting, you could send your Emerson back and see which you get first: A working Emerson, or a new MORE RELIABLE brand of TV.
