I have a difficult time even knowing where to begin. I could write pages. Truthfully, this Regis Corporation/ Empire Beauty School chain, is simply after your money. This is a money-making scam/venture for them. They over-enroll students, 25 students to one teacher (my experience), explicit favoritism prevails and is overlooked, and unlawful relations between teachers and students openly exists. Sexual harassment is prevalent and also overlooked and disregarded. Daily and consistent violations of NAACS- National Association of Accredited Cosmetology Schools - are rampant. We have been openly told if the school is discredited, we "will not be able to receive our degree and therefore lose our money". UNREAL. Proper disinfection/sanitation practices are grossly overlooked on a daily level; Clean towels are scarce to none- I could write an article on this piece (NAACS violations) alone.

The teachers apparently are grossly underpaid (as they divulge openly) and is reflected in their lack of interest and passion for educating. There is minimal instruction and the 'teachers' act 'put-out' and disgruntled when help (what your 20,000 should be paying for) is needed. You better already know what you are doing.  When students come forward to the director or 'higher ups' with ANY of the above issues, they are treated with retaliation by the teachers and I have witnessed their school life become a living hell. Students therefore, do not come forward, not even to the director. It is a catch 22, and once you sign those papers, you are DONE for. This has been such an exhausting, disheartening, MAJOR disappointment (especially with what they promise you/ tell you, to get you to enroll) and the saddest reality is, there is little to nothing you can do for repairs, to get the education you deserve, to even to be heard.
