Empire Parking Services My car was booted before 6pm which violated the contract with the owner of lot Atlanta, Georgia
I provide a service for a resident of an apartment complex in the Virginia Highlands. I was unaware of any parking regulations or visitor parking. I was there for about 25 minutes and walked up to see that a boot had been placed on my car. The technician was unapologetic and not helpful at all when I asked him to help me reach a supervisor, etc. After arguing for several minutes, he received a phone call. I asked that if it was someone from his company (because I called the company and they were closed) could I speak with him. When I asked him if this was a counterpart or a "higher up," he lied and said "yes." (he later told someone the person was a counterpart.)
On that call, I was told that the only way to get the boot removed (besides paying $75) was to speak with the person who signed the service contract. For several more minutes I urged the tech to please acco#12mpany me to the leasing office. He finally relented. It was the person in the leasing office who advised that he could not boot before 6pm.
So I alerted her and him that he had indeed booted me before 6pm. He denied this and said that I had no proof that he had illegally booted me. I told him that he had no proof that he booted me after 6. I asked him what time his friend called. 6:01. At that time, I explained, he had already booted my car and we had already been discussing it so that he must have booted before 6. Again he exclaimed that I had no proof.
I guess he got tired of arguing with me and took the boot off. I thanked him and told him he was doing the right thing. He wouldn't utter a sound to me at this time. As I drove off, I realized that I DID have proof that he had booted me before 6. After arguing with him for several minutes, I made a call to his closed company at 5:55 and that call was logged in my phone. When I found him and brought that to his attention, his response was "Good for you!"
Not only did this person inappropriately boot my car, he was a rude, smug, arrogent, combative jerk! I plan on complaining to the apartment complex (property managers and above), this company, the BBB and anywhere else I can.
