Complaint Review: Empire Sales

Beware young people solicitng for their "soccer team" on Long Island! Now I've done a search and found your site, I see this is an old ploy already.

Well, now Empire Sales kids are operating on the North Shore, Long Island. Same storyline: "just moved here from Delaware to live with grandmother, doesn't go to local school, is going to get homeschooling. Grandmother urged her to join soccer team to make friends. Team (the Strikers) need to raise money to travel to some place to play a game. They have a chance to win."

I was suspicious about everything, and asked her a ton of questions, but in the end I gave her a check. Then I came to look up Strikers on the web - the Strikers team is in Nassau County, a long way away, and the team members are 10-11 years old - so obviously what she tole me isn't true.

OK, so then I looked up Empire Sales, Sugar Hill, Ga and found this site with several reports. I'm going to stop that check tomorrow. So much for trying to do a good deed.
