Empire Today thanks to all of you ripoff San Antonio Texas
i recently called empire for carpeting and flooring, for now &in feb was going to use them for tile, sideing and gutters. did the contract and signed all the while NOT listening to my gut feeling. Ben says they got stuck with this large amt of carpet and i can get a great deal (flag 1) but i would have to sign the contract today (flag 2) top of the line, org price 50.00 sq ft and i'm getting it for about 30.00 sq ft THEIR WITH THE bbb (NOT)on and on and on. today 1/19/07 time to go to rip off reports.
this site has saved me more money than i can count. you are all right they will not give you a breakdown report!!! went to lowes had seen a stain master carpet, they have 15', 15 yr limited (regular type stuff that no one covers any way) warranies on stains, texture rentention, abrasive wear and life time anti-static and will repair or replace! empire seams to only have 12" width,7 yr warrenty on what ever, no warrenty info is on their contract! Ben quoted me 207 sq ft.
WRONG so the bottom line is because of all of you who took the time to protect the rest of us and to leave feed back my 15 yr warranty which includes oder eaters w/ 1/2 pad installing, moving all items except nick-nacks is going to save me 5,568.00. my house is only 1700 sq ft & that is from the city appraiser. Do not, under any circumstances believe that the customer service emails you are getting in response to bad experiences are valid. Empire Today has created an entire mirage that is their customer service. There is no such person as Rebekah, VP of Customer Support. These people are the absolute worst in the country. I am shocked they are still in business. If you receive a response from this supposed Customer Service Manager claiming to want to work with you, apologizing, etc., know that it is a blanket email that is sent to everyone who posts a complaint. They are so transparent in their behavior, it is baffling. Just go onto Clark Howard's Message Boards and see the HUNDREDS of complaints against this company. They are just the absolute worst from top to bottom. Never, never, never will I ever suggest them to anyone. Buyers beware, read the posts on any and all complaint sites and by all means, do not give them one penny! RIP OFF OF THE CENTURY!

ANOTHER THING I HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THIS COMPANY. IF YOU USED YOUR CREDIT CARD AND HAVE LET A LEAST 3 WEEKS GO BY CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY FAST AND HAVE THEM RETURN YOUR MONEY YOU WILL HAVE PAPER WORK TO FILL OUT IN MOST CASES ABOUT 5 LINES. IF YOU PAID BY CHECK TAKE ALL PAPER WORK TO THE BANK AND HAVE THEM ADD IT BACK TO YOUR ACCOUNT AGAIN PAPER WORK TO FILL OUT. I WAS SO UPSET ABOUT THESE HORABLE PEOPLE I FORGOT ABOUT MY DOWN PMT AND CALLED MY CC COMPANY AND THEY REVERSED THE AMOUNT AND I DID THE PAPER WORK.
THESE GUYS COULD JUST CLOSE DOWN IF TO MANY COMPLANTS ARE FILED AGAINEST THEM. HAVE A GREAT DAY, HA RON FOUND 2 MEN WHO HAD TO DO COMUNITY SERVICE AND SINCE I AM DISABLED AND THEY WHERE CARPENTERS,TIE,WOOD LAYERS I AM GETTING A GREAT DEAL BECAUSE LOWES PUT MY TILE ON SALE 1/2 $ & WOOD TOO, AND IGET TO HELP MY NEIGHBORS ALSO WITH THIS PROGRAM AND GET CUTE COPS THAT WATCH THEM. I HAVE NOW SAVED ENOUGH $ WE ARE GOING TO SCOTLAND IN 2 MONTHS JUST FROM THE SAVINGS of liers,cheaters. good people do finish FIRST!!

I, too, have posted about Empire Today and the Lying Salesman and the lack of interest they have in customer satisfaction.. You can see my report under Carpet and Tile Stores. Thier Rebuttal is a standard form letter type ... what does that tell you about customer service, nothing like paying attention to a customers concerns.
They will not call me back as I have spent all the money they they can get out of me. I learned to install my own wood/laminate flooring ... IT IS SOOO EASY, do it yourself.
If you still have projects to do, also read - more money to spend, then Empire will surely contact you. However, another person that lives in Empires home territory in Illinois, as posted about them not calling him back too. They told me that they DO NOT employ a service technician and gave me a name and number of some guy "for you to contact". So much for service.
You gotta go with your original gut feeling and go in the directions of the FLAGS that you mention.

well i see that they sent me the same form letter as everyone else. to improve your reputation my i suggest that you have these people call the customer. i called the ph # you left, asked "to speak to one of your agents out of the office of the president" this is what i got. i would be happy to transfer your call click,dial tone 9 of those,& when i was actually transfered i got 2 busy signals & one who actually picked up started to tell them about the problem click. did rec'e a call from ben on monday informed him as to why. not bbb member guess your accounting office forgot to mail the check to the bbb office, all the problems in the state of tx and named several other states. ben told me this was a "TOP OF THE LINE CARPET' i talked to several builders & Interior designers here & mostly in california these are designer builders one of a kind homes (all but 2 stated that they dont do the same design over) these homes especally in ca. start in the 3m range they never heard of your carpet, cant find the manafacture on the web but then again i only googled the name. if you know of their web address i would like to know so i can check them out myself. product knowledge with sales people would be a plus, ben didnt even know the twist count or weight & theWe offer quality merchandise with quality service that you will not receive from other companies. We do understand that their may be companies out there with prices that may beat ours, u guys over use that to death stop saying it just prove it to those cust. I think a 15yr warrt. over a 7 yr warrt.is better even if the $ is the same. you see this is not the first est. i got from your san antonio office the first est for carpet and flooring(small kitchen area) was 26,000.00 in nov when the carpet and flooring was at 50% off per your tv ad on slected items, my house is 1700 sq ft total the items i chose were the same exact ones from the first est, go figure so why dont you call me and we'll talk,& you can tell me how long you will be taking to process my deposit back to me.You can call ben & get my phone # and call any time between 11:00am-4:00pm i will be waiting for your call
