The letter below was sent OVER 1 year ago and still NO RESPONSE FROM EMPIRE TODAY!!

September 28, 2006 Via Fax Only: (888) 588-2348

Mr. Troy Pringle
Supervisor, Office of the President
Empire Today, LLC
333 Northwest Avenue
Northlake, IL 60164

Dear Mr. Pringle:

Re: Significant Pricing Discrepancies Between Advertised and Quoted Flooring Pricing

This letter is being written to follow up to my April 10, 2006 letter, which shockingly, was just answered today via phone, some five and a half months late despite sending the letter FOUR times! Mr. Pringle, please address how this happened under your watch. Though Doug from your office called and handled the situation as best as his position allows, he is NOT the appropriate person to deal with a nationwide deceptive pricing allegation.

First, let me say that this letter and my other letters may ultimately have significant legal and or regulatory implications for Empire Today, LLC. For this reason, this letter should be sent to the law firm representing Empire Today, LLC and at least to Mr. Silvers directly.

Please note I am NOT seeking financial compensation or monies that would come to me in any way or form. However, it is likely that I will file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and bring this nationwide deceptive pricing issue to the attention of local and national television and print media as well as Amy Madigan, The Illinois Attorney General. Excerpt from www.illinoisattorneygeneral.gov.

As Attorney General, Madigan is the states leading consumer advocate. Her efforts to protect consumers, especially seniors who are often targeted by scam artists, include educating consumers on emerging scams, mediating consumer complaints and filing lawsuits to stop fraudulent practices and recover restitution on behalf of consumers.

A few years ago there was a consumer and media crackdown on some outlet malls in California which had deceptive pricing practices that misled consumers into believing they were receiving a discount when they are not. The television news expos addressed the fact that an item may sell on the open market for $50. The outlet malls would mark the price of the $50 item up to $150 and offer a 50% off discount at $75. Despite the 50% discount, consumers were still paying higher than comparable items yet falsely THOUGHT they were getting a good deal. From all appearances, this is EXACTLY what Empire Today, LLC is doing through its apparent deceptive pricing practices. My understanding is this type of deceptive pricing is illegal.

As a former senior level public relations professional having worked in high tech public relations and so-called bricks and mortar PR, I have exceptional access to local and national print, online and electronic media. If Empire Today, LLC does not address this issue satisfactorily, I am prepared and committed to bringing this issue to the attention of the national media, industry analysts and federal and state regulatory authorities.

Sincerely,

Tamera

Hi,

I complety understand where you are coming from. I know how frustrating it is. I worked for Empire Today for two years as a Customer Service Rep in the Northlake, IL. Let me give you an insider tip. Nothing is going to happen, absolutly nothing. I remember trying to help a few customers, but even as a company insider I was ignored and told to type the report and send it to the a local manager. I saw many times customers were being ripped off by the sales rep, but I couldn't say anything because the calls were being recorded. Fight it to the bitter end, my friend.
