Complaint Review: Employment One

Employment One Melissa (last name not known to my knowledge): the women that help me... she avaible tuesday/thursday's morning between the hrs. of 9am-11am (574)271-8558 or I heard thoughout the wkend (574) 271-8585 Melissa con me saying thier were 3rd shift jobs for immedialety openings within the city limits I paid went on computer no jobs I'm a diaylsis patient and a ft student still week later no job Mishawaka, Indiana

In Mishawaka Indiana I came into the office of Employment One to see if they can help me find work because of the ecomny, Melissa told me yes, but thier will be a small fee. She told me that their going to record out conversation of quality ensurance I agreed. So before I even paid the fee I let her know my situation with how I stuggling with paying for school and then I ask her I need a night time job she says they have many immedialety opening ready for the poistion I wanted within the county limits,so therefore I made the sacriface to do so I did'nt really have the money, but the way she talk was confident in may ways, so I paid I got on the computer after I paid and their were no jobs avaible to my knowlegde if she know that from the start she should of told me, she was worried about herself and her paid check of commission for client serve and it's been weeks and still no job I call,she plays the funny roll,but I'm not going to get into racism and what not, I've been a diaylsis patient for 10 years and I'm only 26 yr of age I prey that God the king orthe goverment helps me, but others 185.00 is alot of money especially with college please help me

It is virtually impossible to address specific allegations with such vague accusations and generalizations. Employment One is a service to be utilized by those persons who wish to find alternatives avenues to their employment search. Employment 1 is NOT a temporary or typical employment agency. READ YOUR AGREEMENT THOROUGHLY SO THAT WE MAY ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. This alone contradicts the false claim that a job seeker registering with the service believed employment was guaranteed to them. Employment One does not guarantee employment and makes no claim as such. A legitimate employment service cannot force any company to hire an individual nor force a job seeker to accept employment. There is a written addendum providing an unconditional guarantee of accuracy and availability. The job information provided is both accurate and available through a tape-recorded verification process. Employment One will turn away jobs if they are advertised in the newspaper or major search engines. Employment One targets positions in the hidden job market to dramatically cut competition. Potential members may review posted success stories in the office from real people finding real jobs in the local job market. The service can be a valuable and viable resource for job seekers that are committed to regular use and have realistic expectations of the job market. The current economic climate will make finding work more challenging. Employment One is not a one-day miracle service. Registrations are handled in office and never via telephone or on the Internet. Monies are not collected until a full explanation of the service is provided and paperwork is reviewed. Employment One is diligent about explaining our service to potential members before any fees are exchanged. These so called employment companies skirt the law by pretending to help you but not promising you anything. They did not promise you a job but simpley said there was one available. That is how they get away with it. You pay money to get a list of these jobs or for their so called assistance in finding a job. Had they promised you a job then you could do something about it. They are very sneaky in there wording of there services.

Heres a Tip. never pay for someone to help you find a job. That is a scam right there. I am from elkhart In originally so i know that the ecomomy is bad in that area. Go down to your local unemployment center. they have a list of jobs you can look at for Free. there are employment centers you can go to also that are free as well NEVER PAY!!! You can try filing a complaint with the attorney generals office but i doubt they will do anything.  Good luck to you
