I signed up for 35 free downloads at emusic.com for a FREE trial membership. Before you can get your FREE trial, you have to enter a credit card number. emusic charged my credit card the SAME DAY I signed up for my FREE trial. I canceled my membership before the FREE trial was supposed to end, but my credit card was still charged.

If you try to contact them, there is no phone contact, and they are very very unresponsive to anything/anyone who wants to complain.

They take your money and run!

BAIT AND SWITCH!!!

Watch out! This company baits customers with a FREE trial so they can then fraudulently scam and charge you! False advertising and FRAUD here. These folks should be investigated and charged with criminal conduct.

i signed up for 14 day free trial, canceled within an hour and was charged 11.99 for months service, ive contacted emusic, no response...thank goodness for PayPal, they are investigating for me so i'll probably get my money back, stay away from this company, i was very careful to read the terms and conditions.i've also complained to pizza hut (they sponsored the link that got me there) so maybe they will stop sending people to be ripped off

Wrong Company Accused

All Media Guide (AMG), who is owned by Macrovision, is being wrongly accused in this report. Neither AMG, nor Macrovision, have anything to do with the way eMusic runs their business. What AMG does is provide data to retailers and other clients, such as Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, MTV Networks, and quite a few others. When you visit eMusic and read about musicians, songs, etc. you are reading data provided by AMG.

UPDATE!! Fighting back against these sleeze-bags

So far, I have contacted my credit card company that this was a fraudulent charge.
I have also reported them to the Great Metropolitan New York City Better Business Bureau. I have also reported them to the New York Attorney General. I have also reported them to the ISP that houses their website (from WHOIS). Then, the FBI Internet Fraud unit. We'll see if they refund my money. I do NOT like sleeze-bags!!! Wouldn't it be nice to shut them down?

Can't contact these sleeze-bags and they won't answer emails

In previous reports about emusic, an "employee" suggested sending an email to their customer service. I have sent 5 emails, and they won't respond.

This same "employee" suggested calling emusic and offered the following URL:
http://www.emusic.com/about/contact/office.html

If you call the numbers listed, you get a recorded message saying that all their electronic voicemail boxes are full. If you call customer service number directly, you are told that emusic doesn't current "support live customer service."

In other words, they take your money in a fraud, and then there isn't even a way to complain about it, or ask for a refund.

These folks are SLEEZE-BAGS and should be avoided!
