EMusic CHARGED FOR DOWNLOADS DURING MY TRIAL PERIOD. NY, NY And San Diego, CA NATIONWIDE

I recieved an MP3 player as a gift and there was a coupon for 50 free downloads from eMusic.com. I signed up and tried to download music, but my computer was messing up that night. So, the next night I tried again. I was able to download music that night.

I checked my bank accout the following Friday, and there were charges from the first night I tried to download music and those downloads weren't successful. I tried contacting regarding the issue only to recieve a generic automated response every time. I looked eMusic up on this website and found that I'm not the only one to have been ripped off. I decided to close the eMusic account, and told them there should be no further charges and that I want a refund for the charges made to my account, only to recive more generic automated responses.

I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and now the Ripoff Report. They're also not an accredited business through the BBB.

I did some digging on this company and sent the same email to every department, PR, Business Development, Marketing, anyone. I found out that David Pakman is the president and CEO of the company and I found his email address and I also found a phone number that's not an "800" number.

I contacted David and he got right back to me as well as forwarding my message to the Customer Service Lead and she resolved the issue ina matter of minutes.

David Pakman's email is david@emusic.com
Stacey Mangual is the Customer Service Lead and her direct email is
smangual@emusic.com

The phone number is 212-201-9240 press the option for the directory and press 725 to get to David Pakman, if you do not get him, it will give you the number to his personal assistant. I left messages for him and his assistant.

I really hope this information helps someone if not many people. It really helped me.
