I had never heard of emusic.com, but glancing at my May 08 credit card bill, I noticed a $14.99 charge for them. I looked at my April 08 credit card bill and noticed another charge for them.

Tried calling the number on the credit card charge they gave, but all 3 possible choices sent me to voice mail and all three "choices" told me to email them my last 8 digits of my credit card number to them to cancel my "membership".

I called my credit card company and told them about these charges--
1) I never heard of the company
2) I'm a senior citizen who isn't into music (except on my car radio)
3) I don't own an ipod or walkman or any gadget to download music onto (except my computer which I basically use for email)
4) I have NEVER in my life downloaded music, nor have any desire to do so

My credit card company said the monthly charges had started in Feb 08...this for a product/service I never asked for and never received! My credit card company closed that card and issued me a new one. (Plus, they credited me four months of fees)

I wasn't "taken" for much money, but it still makes me incensed that this "company" stole my credit card number somehow and charged me bogus monthly fees. I'm also mad at myself for not paying much attention to my credit card bill--you can be sure that will change. I will check it online weekly and when I get the paper copy monthly!

In doing a google-search of this company I read an editorial here at "Ripoffreport" and saw how this is a common complaint for emusic.com. Just wish some legal people find out and "go get them".
