Santa brought my little girl an MP3 player that said on the package that you can get 40 free songs at eMusic.com. I signed up for the "FREE" trial which is supposed to last for 2 weeks and just in case you forget to cancel or download more songs than you are supposed to, I gave them a CC number.
The same day that I signed up for the "FREE" trial, my credit card was billed for a month of service. At this point, we had not even downloaded any music.
When I e-mailed customer service, I got a response that said in a nutshell.....too bad, all charges are non-refundable. I was not supposed to be charged in the first place!!!!! It says that in the fine print on the same line that it says that charges are non-refundable.

Before my original rip-off report even got posted, I received a call on my cell phone about 2 hours after sending a rocket (e-mail) to the attention of Fred Amoroso (Pres & CEO of Macrovision) from Michael Buchheim
(Executive V.P. of Dist. & Commerce) for Macrovision. He thanked me for bringing this scam to the companies attention and told me that he was personally going to look into what is going on with eMusic and get it straightened out. By the time I got home, I had already received a rocket from Mr. Buchheim as well. He seemed very sincere and I hope that now maybe the crooks at eMusic have to face the "eMusic". LOL

****Macrovision has nothing to do with "eMusic" and is in no way liable for any of "eMusic's" or "AMG's" actions. They are a software licensing
company and that is the only connection they have with "eMusic". I
really appreciate Mr. Buchheim helping all of us that have been cheated and want everyone that read my previous post to understand that.***** Thanks Mike.
