I was downloading songs on their site--I have been a member since January and I went to download an album that had 20 songs. Unfortunately, I only had 19 songs left. I did not realize this at the time and a little popup came up telling me "Upgrade Your Account." I tried to close it, but I had the choice of either continuing or canceling. I didn't want to cancel my download, so I continued.

Without any confirmation or notice of the cost, I had 50 more downloads in my queue. I immediately checked my bank account and a new charge was posted for $100. One click that was misread cost me $100. I stopped downloading and called up emusic. The only thing they do when you call is take your info down, review your complaint and respond to you in 24-48 hours. What's the point of talking to someone?

I'm sorry, but its a scam to charge you $100 because you accidentally clicked on the word continue. No posting of the price, no additional confirmation--just a charge. For one measly $1.00 download, that's pretty outrageous.

I will keep everyone posted, but eMusic is a bit shady. I urge everyone to proceed with caution on that site. I as an adult misread something and made a $100 mistake. I can't imagine what a young child could do.
