I signed up for 14 day trial for emusic on 12/25/07. I checked my bank account for other reasons and see that they are already in the process of charging my account. The number the bank gave me 1-866-847-0719 will not take you to a person. It gave option of canceling on the web, or email or to send a letter. I had already canceled my account on the web and they still intend to charge me, because it says there will be no more billing on my account when my bill cycle ends on Jan 24th.

I sent them an email to cancel me@emusic.com per their automated instructions. I am waiting for confirmation , which by the way never received confirmation of receiving a trial either. I dont see a free trial in there do you? At best I have to let the charge go through and then dispute it with the bank.

I also had my account charged after a free trial period. I did cancel well within the allowed time so I wouldn't be charged. After I was charged I tried calling, but as everyone else is saying I could only get a machine, no real person. I finally gave up after about a week and tried getting help from my bank. I explained the whole situation to them and they said since I signed up for this, there was nothing they could do for me and I would have to contact the company. Luckily I was only charged for one month, but it's still annoying.

There seems to be quite a few having problems with these clowns. In fact, not only was I charged a year in advance instead of the month-to-month I signed up for, I was charged within an hour of signing up for the free trial. Never again!

Here is some useful info if you are getting tired of the run around with the e-mail system:
