Thank you everyone for warning us about this company. Thankfully we only got this "free" certificate for paying a bill we pay anyway. Today I was going to fill out their registration form, but after reading all their rules and restrictions that are completely cumbersome, I decided to see if the website could help. At least a phone number. But as everyone else found, no such luck. Then I found this website. After reading about everyone else's problems and reading Michael Gelber's acid tongued responses, I went to the BBB's website. In the last 36 months there have been 50 complaints! That's just outrageous. I don't care what company it is.. if they have that many complaints in such a short span, I'm running the other way. I have decided to throw this offer in the trash. I think that Encenta has a lot of work to do to stay in business for the long haul. And I would highly advise Mr. Crabree (the owner) to find someone else to do his dirty work. Mr. Gelber needs alot of work on his customer service. Thank you Ripoffreport.com! You've made my life easier.

We are writing in response to the recent complaint about our company, Encenta Promotions posted on Rip-Off Report. We have issues with websites such as those that report (good and bad) tales such as these but don't follow up with due diligence and collect the whole story. However, given the nature of the internet beast, there's not too much we can do about it. :)
These promotional getaways can be a great gift when used correctly. We go through great lengths to specifically outline the entire process in our helpful hints, and then reiterate several key points on the Registration and Reservation Request Forms, to try and make sure all of the guidelines are followed. We proudly travel thousands of very happy customers every year. We've sold over 200,000 of our getaways and recognize that even with our best efforts we can't make everyone's travel plans perfect. While we do have 50 complaints with the Better Business Bureau (all of which have been successfully resolved), and 13 on this site, we view that as an extremely small percentage. We also receive letters daily from travelers that have used our getaway, thanking us for the wonderful time they had.
The internet feedback on the certificates is largely from a promotional purchaser who then re-sold the certificates to various parties - something not allowed by our contracts.
As for the list of locations, we do not release locations of the hotels. There are a couple of reasons a hotel list is not provided. First, as part of the agreement with the properties that have chosen to participate, they would prefer to not be contacted directly, prior to your reservation being made and confirmed. Second, is that occasionally the properties are rotated, and what might be available today in a particular destination, could be different tomorrow.
You should have a map included with the packet you received. Just indicate the destination you would like to go and your reservationists will discuss the hotel locations before confirming your travel date. We are not a reservation travel system but act as the intermediary for matching available rooms with travelers. We actually
purchase rooms from these hotels and so we ask that clients choose
locations per the directions so we can in turn contact the hotels we
currently have listed under contract to check for availability on behalf
of the client. If there is no availability at the first chosen location
we can proceed to the next in a timely manner. If you take the steps
outlined in the brochure we can get your reservation moved through the
process.
We would also like to mention what we do not support the comments that were made by our former Vice President of Sales in reference to some complaints. We apologize for any miscommunication he may have left with his comments.
