Encore Payment Systems has stolen $10,000 from my company!!! Addison Texas
After signing up with Encore I thought I was saving my company a few hundred dollars a month. Great, right?, Then I noticed something.... NO money was going into my bank account!. This built up to $25,000.
after numerous phone calls and faxing in all our receipts over two weeks we were able to recover $15,000 but we are still fighting to get our remaining $10,000. It has been over 3 weeks and we keep getting a run-a-round. It seems the customer service reps at Encore take turns being "manager of the day". The fact is you never actually get to talk with a real manager or owner.
My book keeper has been going through HELL with Encore tring to resolve the issue of the missing $10,000 that we show receipts for. We may need to take legal action against Encore to get our money that they stole from us. This company is deceptive and fraudulent. If they come knocking on your door you would be wise to slam it in thier face (Fast & Hard).

Unfortunately, Merchant Services and Credit Card Processing Companies are not regulated by State or Federal entities. Similarily as Insurance Companies were not a couple of decades ago. The BBB is Pro Business for those that are members and not consumer friendly when checking out for reputable businesses.
Contacting your Attorney General will get quick attention. Make sure you have all supporting documentation and contracts when filing your complaint. I've found them to be very helpful.
Have faith in the American Capitalistic Economic System.
There ARE a FEW very reputable Merchant Services companies and sales persons still left out there, and they are fighting to make the unreputable, responsible and accountable for their bait and switch business tactics and practices.
May I suggest visiting a web site at: MerchantBillOfRights.
This is the only Company I'm aware of that is Truely championing for the small to medium size businesses I've found in my 20+ years of retail.
Best Regards

Well, thanks too the Ripoff report and about 25 phone calls to the manager-of-the-day at Encore we finally received our missing $10,000.
Payroll was a few days late but we survived this first round of battle. We had another large charge put through and must start the process again of faxing and phone calls to see why the funds did not make it to our account the next day as promised. It will definitely be worth the $250.00 per machine to cancel this service and go back to our original credit card processor that we never had a problem with, They will even match the better rates that we thought we were getting from Encore.
Lesson Learned. I feal sorry for the next salesperson that comes in trying to give me a better deal on payment systems, phone or internet services. As the old saying goes "If it ain't broke, Don't fix it".

You might try sending a certified, return receipt requested, letter to the following Encore folks:
Principal: Mr. Blake Pyle, CFO
Customer Contact: Mr. Greg Robertson, COO
Be warned, the BBB says they are satisfactory members dispite numerous complaints that were not resolved to the satisfaction of their customers, and that if you go through the bbb to resolve this, the bbb uses binding arbitration.
If indeed you have accurate receipts to verify the disparity, I would use the courts instead of the BBB - in court you can get a money judgement against them and your reasonable legal fees.
Good Luck.
