Enet Action Card ripoff took 159 dollars within 5 weeks out of my account in July of 2003 and gave me NOTHING in return!! Nationwide
My name is Teresa, and I was told by a scam artist (of whom I thought was a gentleman) that I could receive a credit card with $5000.00 limit as long as I payed a total of $159.00, in what I assumed would be through monthly installments of $39.99. This was in July of 2003. Okay. Not only did I NOT get the d**n card, but they took the money out of my account EVERY WEEK, thus giving me overdraft fees as I had assumed I would not have this taken out weekly!
I called them back about 10 times within 2 months and finally got in touch with someone who told me that I'd receive my card in the mail within 21 to 28 business days. Well, 3 months went by and I STILL never got my card. So, I called back again and left message upon message and never received a phone call back. When I finally did get in touch with someone as of December 15th 2003, I demanded I get my money back and they gave me the same schpiel - "within 21 to 28 business days, my account will be credited the amount of $159.00". It is now February 9th, and I have not received anything from them.
Please provide me with any information on this thieves as they have scammed some very hardworking people who are just trying to make a living.
