Enhanced Long Distance Block Unauthorized Charges or you may pay. Phone Only Nationwide
This months Frontier phone bill had a charge from Enhanced Long Distance. When I questioned Frontier concerning and why they would just add a charge to my phone bill, they said they had to according to Federal Law. I called the number listed and was referred to Enhanced Long Distance, who said I had signed up for unlimited long distance in exchange for $1000 in grocery coupons. I said I didn't, and he said isn't your birthday some date in 72 and your mothers maiden name Brooke (or something). I told him that the birthdate was nearly 30 years off and the name was not even close. He said that he would issue a refund, but it would take a couple billing cycles.
I called Frontier back and was told I could block all outside charges but it would also block the refund. They also said I had to pay the bill in total or I could be subject to late fees, even though I was disputing the amount. I didn't wish to take the chance that this company would charge my phone number a large amount now they had it, I blocked all outside charges. Called Enhanced back and asked to have them sent me a check, they said "we don't do that"
So my advice is to make sure your phone company blocks all outside charges, or you could get ripped off as I did. And for sure don't even call or log into any Enhanced sites, it could cost you.
