I received my ATT phone statement for October 2008, and there was an amount of $15.92 included for Enhanced Service Billing - (Email discounts, llc# phone number 800-410-5781. I called this number to inquire what this charge was, and they told me my husband had ordered this service. He has no knowledge of doing this. If the call was from someone that said ATT he thought he was confirming our new bundled system with them.

When I called Enhanced Services, I told them I was not paying the $15.92 and to cancel that service immediately. They told me I had to pay that amount since they had confirmed my husband's birthdate, e mail address, etc. We did not order this.

I received a call from Anthony on Nov. 5, 2008 from ATT -- I had been contacting them about my phone service and this amount of $15.92. He advised me to file a complaint immediately about this service.

Thank you

What to say to the ESBI rep

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, November 19, 2008

I had a similar experience with these ESBI scam artists. They slapped a $12.95 bill on my Verizon account for services I never ordered.

When I called ESBI, the representative insisted, at least three times, that someone by my name had indeed signed up for the service over the Internet.

He only backed off when I said that I was going to file a complaint with the FCC. Then he agreed to give me credit for the charge.
