I ordered Spy Hunter from Enignma software because they advertised that it would remove the malware, "errorsafe" from my computer. After doing the free scan, I found that there was a reference to errorsafe in the scan. But I had to purchase the product in order to remove it. So I made the purchase, and the program did the same thing as the free scan version. It said that it found an instance of errorsafe, but did not remove anything.

When I contacted Enigma software, I was informed that I had to furnish them a lengthy log of the data from their software in order for them to assist in removing it. But the procedure for sending them the log was complicated and convoluted.

When I tried to get clarification on sending the log, I received their advice that the previous "ticket" had been closed, and then they reiterated the complicated information for sending them the log. In trying to send them the log, it would not work. I kept getting back to them closing the ticket and repeating the submittal process.

I wrote them again and informed them that I wanted my money back. They said it was non-refundable, but they would set up a "netmeeting" where they would call me and get me with technicians. They never called me. I tried again. They never called me after that time, either.
I finally contacted my bank, who wanted the content of the messages from Enigma. When I went back to try to copy the content it was gone. You see, they don't email you directly. They email you to tell you to look at your message on their own website. It stays until they close the ticket, which explains why they are so quick to close them.

I contacted their agent, RegNet, who handled the purchase over the internet as their agent. They told me that they would refund my money. I did not hear from them. I contacted them again, and they said that they had referred it to Enigma for a refund (which is not what they said the first time) and that Enigma did not respond. So, they said that they would refund my money. That was today. I'm still waiting for the refund.

The bottom line is that, my opinion, based on my experience, Enigma software is a bunch of crooks, and Spy Hunter is a scam.

Finally had payment refunded

RegNet finally refunded my money. Enigma still did nothing, however. It was their sales agent, RegNet, who did the refund. The last word from Enigma was that they would not refund any payment. So my opinion of them and their software, Spy Hunter, has not changed.
