Enota campground abd Dr.Swanj No pay for six weeks.discrimination verbal abuse. Endangerment of my health and my assistant health by knowing mold and mildew. Was real heavy. Invested. August 1 2018_ Total. Maintenance solution agreed to make repairs to cabins.lawn mowers.tractor's and automobiles. As well as repairing. The kitchen stoves .freezers and coolers. In exchange for 25.hrs of labor from. Myself and my assistant.. Anything over 25 hrs would be paid for. I put in a total of 100 hrs a week subtract the 25hrs. To pay for the lot rent.
This leaves 75 hrs that I am suppose to be paid for as well as my assistant is suppose to be paid for the 75 hrs she worked Well when I. Confronted the owner Dr.Swan she informed me that she was not going to pay my assistant for just hanging out with me. I let her know that we have a contract. And agreed to myself and my assistant working for Enota and we would be paid for the hrs we worked over the required 25hrs.
Dr.swan throws a fit cussing and storms out of the office.I then discuss this with the. New manager taking over.well two days passed and.no money or explanation for why I can. Not get paid. I informed Dr swan that we were.not going to work until we get paid .A couple of days past still no mention of paying us.well I went to help a couple fix there car tire upon arrival to the car I see lots of sewer boiling out of the man hole and running into the creek.
I check to seek if the power was on. No power so I trace the power lines back to the service pole and find the wires not connected. I informed Dr.Swan of what I found and.need the power company to come out. While waiting on the power company Dr Swan informs that there. Had been power going to the pump. When the power completed reconnecting the lines .The lead line man. Informs that the lines that he reconnected have been off for three years.
That means that the pump that Dr.Swan swears had power on has been over flowing for 3 years. I informed her that the pump. She had in the sewer was a residential. Waste pump.and it was. Not code. Well nothing. Has been done to Bring this up to code Another issue is the kitchen there ate Diseased cats and two nasty dogs that run from where the food is prepared and then where the food. Is served Knowingly exposing.
Myself and my assistant to health issues.Dr.Swan. had me and my assistant. Work in cabins that were covered in mold and mildew. No respirator or safety clothes were available. No proper chemicals to treat the cabins. Enota continue to rent these cabins. The animals go for days without water and food. This place claims to be.non profitable. Well Thats another lie.everything is marked up double.in the store.
Campers are charged for extra persons in there party charged for there dogs.there are many. Other violation s that goes on at this place. I hope the information I have shared will keep someone else from being hoodwinked by this evil greedy b*tch.

The best response to these claims is a review of the facts regarding this particular case.
Case Facts: In the inital communication of 7/23/18 this WorkKamper specifically stated, " I am 54 years old. I have 38 years of experience as an electrical and heating tech. I have ran my own business for the past 15 years. I am looking to park my 5th wheel camper in be exchange for the skills I have."
Under skills he listed: "Grounds, Maintenance, Construction, Marketing & Social Media, Organic Farm Helper."
What this work camper failed to mention is that he and his "assistant" had an extreme alcohol addiction. Of course this did not become apparent to us instantly at Enota.
Upon arrival to Enota, additional opportunites to make money were offered through our WorkKamper program. This program is designed to help people in financial recovery have a secure place to stay in a beautiful environment. We've had many success stories of workers that have come through using this program.
However because of the nature of many of the WorkKampers being in poor financial health and many times addicted to various substances, we have very strict policies which are clearly outlined in our Independent Contractor Agreement.
This agreement was offered to, and accepted by this man.
We have his signed agreement dated August 1, 2018 agreeing to our terms.
As we soon found out, his extreme addiction issues resulted in poor workmanship and an inability to complete the tasks assigned. His "assistant" was simarly addicted and as far as we could determine had none of his supposed skill sets. Certainly none of the "Maintenance, Construction, Marketing & Social Media" promised in his initial email to us asking for a position.
Within 2 weeks of his arrival we were at an impasse in the relationship. He gave his 30 day notice in writing as required... but had no means for removing his 5th wheel from the property. Because of this we were forced to have his 5th wheel removed by a tow company at considerable expense. We have a signed paper stating that in exchange for towing their vehicle to the location of their choice that this would be in compensation for the service they had rendered during this short stay at Enota.
We wish this WorkKamper all the success in the world but until they get their addictions under control they will continue to have extreme challenges.
We have a high success rate that is a great source of pride to Enota but it is not one hundred percent. Not everyone will respond in a discipled environment using time tested techniques. Not everyone is at a point where they are ready to walk the path of change.
We have helped many people to recover their lives and the scores of positive testimonies we cherish overcome the failures and allow us to go on.
However, those who fail are loud and those who recover enjoy a quiet serenity.
This forum gives voice to the negative where as the recovered are at peace with their lives.
As a Christian, family based facility, we wish peace to those who seek it and pray for those still sailing on turbulent waters.
