Enterprise Financial Group, INC EFG BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY Irving, Texas
This company has been a big ripoff. Please beware of this company. They will find anyway they can to get out of paying claims. I have had previous extended warranty and never had any problems with getting claims paid. EFG has been a big waste of money. I have a 745li Bmw that I wanted to warranty because i love the car. I bought an extended warranty from EFG in November of 2012, I was told that the warranty would protect my investment. However; I did have concerns about certain langue the contract used like no coverage of wear and tear items and oil changes completed at leat every six months.
I researched the contract and was told that certain items could be wear and tear and certain items could not be. I took my car in to the dealership because my check engine light came on, the to me it was a varaible Valve Timing Engine Control Module. They also stated that my from control arm bushing were bad and that my left ball joint was bad. I have the Tech Choice Deluxe Coverage which specifically list all of these itemas as covered but EFG claims states that the module is not an engine control module when it is, and they state that all of the other items are wear and tear.
This was so dispointing to me because I have read how warranty companies try to get out of paying claims. I have a 2002 745li bmw with only 87,000 miles on it. I should have not been sold a warranty for 4500 dollars if everything on my car could be considered wear and tear because of the age or mileage. This company has been very misleading and they give you a false sense of security, because when sometime happens to you car they will say it's wear in tear (based on their interputation) or it is a engine control module but not the one we will cover.
So please don't make the same mistake I did, are you will be sorry. I had recommended this company to several of my friends because I felt like they would stand by their product but they have not. I have since told my friends not to purchase this contract and I have submitted a request to cancel my contract so I can which to another company. I have never been treated in this manner, to know that I have an extended warranty and all of the problems on my car are listed but they will not pay for anything. I just have a 4500 dollar piece of paper. Please Please don't make the mistake I did.

Thanks for your reply. The ECM (engine control module) is a covered part on your plan. The ECM module has a direct effect on the emissions of your vehicle and is mandated by the US government to work for 80,000 miles thats why we cover it in our plan as it is in your best interest. But, the Valvetronic Control Module (which is not an ECM, nor part of the ECM) is a BMW-specific part which the manufacturer did NOT build into the ECM. Your Valvetronic Control Module has been assessed by your repair shop as the specific failed part and it is not a covered part. You are welcome to call me directly if you have further questions.

What about the ECM that is a covered part the Variable valve engine control module is a covered part. Even the dealership states that it is an ECM. The contract does not specify - to not pay for that item is a breach of the contract. That module clearly controls the engine function.

Hi I am Alex, the VSC Claims Director at Enterprise Financial Group. We take very seriously any complaints against us because we take pride in the reputation weve gained for our claims coverage and maintaining a high level of customer service. Ive both researched your contract and the phone calls you and the repair facility made to our offices in November of 2012 and January of this year. While we have done everything in our power to make our contracts very black and white to avoid any confusion around coverage, I apologize that the particular parts in your request are simply not covered. BMW recommends periodic inspections of the vehicle, specifically for anticipated looseness and wear of many items and the loose and worn suspension bushings are routinely replaced on the type of vehicle you own for this condition. With your cars mileage, it would be reasonable to expect that these items would need attention at this time. However, your plan specifically excludes them.
