I was unvolved in a accident which was not my fault and the insurance company of the other driver agreed to repair my car and provide a rental car. I decided to extend my lunch from 1 hour to 2 so that I could drop off my car and make the correct arrangements. The process exceeded 2 hours and I informed the Enterprise rent a car associate that I only wanted the coverage that is included at no charge. He stated that I was requesting basic coverage. He also told me that the insurance company is paying for a larger car then what I recieved so, his manager would call me in a few days to ask if I wanted to trade my car in for a appropriate model. I agreed and signed the paperwork before leaving so that I could return to work. after 1 week, I noticed additional charges on my card after 1 week and called their number immediately. To my suprise, they are not open Saturday or Sunday, so I left a message demanding a explanation for charges.

I soon found out the the basic setup that the associate signed me up for is not included with the $24.99 a day that the insurance company was paying for. I had to pay $230.00 for 12 days of useless coverage. After they removed the insurance charges , they told me that I should be careful about what I sign. They also tried to convince me that taking insurance off would require a additional fee if any damages were found upon return. I find this very interesting because this vehicle has various dents and dings that we attempted to document when I accepted the vehicle. In my opinion, if a vehicle on their fleet has damage, it should have been repaired immediately before renting it to the next customer. I was horrified to hear that they actually have a scam going, making extra money charging consumers for damages that were already there. I will have this car for another day but if I have any more problems (any at all) with this location, I will seek legal action-NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

When you rent the car you go out and document the damages and provide them to the associate which in turn documents them on your agreement.

No car rental charges for damage already done.  If you did not read your agreement and document the existing damages then, it's your own fault.
