Enterprise Rent-A-Car Dinged for Damage - ON ROOF of SUV !!! Fort Worth Texas
Rented an SUV from Enterprise. Inspected vehicle with female employee approximately my height. I mentioned a few noticeable body dings that she did not write on report.
Returned vehicle a week later without incident (dropped it off at the dealership a few doors down). 30 or so minutes later received a phone call from Enterprise asking what happened to vehicle, there are '3 fist sized' dings on the roof of vehicle. I advised nothing happened to vehicle while in my control. I immediately asked for photos, request was denied. Employee was rude, said female employee who performed inspection was top notch and I was responsible. I told Enterprise that the female employee did not even write down the dings that I pointed out to her during our inspection.
Enterprise began calling my insurance company and saying I was responsible. They stated I performed an inspection. I said yes, but I was not offered or provided a stepladder to look at top of vehicle! It would not be possible for a person of my height to see the roof unless they were much taller or had a ladder.
It is unreasonable to expect a 5'6" woman to inspect the top of an SUV. Those dings (still have not seen photos) could have been there for any amount of time. They are billing me almost $500 for repairs.
