Enterprise Rent a Car Enterprise ripped me off Stouffville Ontario Canada
On November 11, 2014 I rented a vehicle from the Enterprise location in Stouffville, Ontario. Since I did not have a credit card the manager there, Eric, told me that I would have to pay a deposit of $300 from my debit card, and that the deposit would be refunded to me in a cheque which I should receive within 10 days of returning the vehicle.
I returned the vehicle with no issues, but after 3 weeks I still had not received any refund. When I contacted the manager about this he didn't have any interest in doing anything about it, other than to give me the phone number of their head office in Toronto. I have called the head office multiple times now, but still have not received my refund.
They have acknowledged that they owe me the money and keep saying that they will send a cheque, but still nothing has arrived. I verfied that they do have the correct mailing address and when I last called they said that they would send a cheque by FedEx. It has been over 2 weeks since I last called and I know it does not take FedEx 2 weeks to deliver something 15 minutes away.
At this point I do believe that they never had any intention of refunding me my money and that they have simply been lying to me all along, hoping that it will make me go away. It is now getting near 3 months since I rented from them and I still cannot get my refund from them. Enterprise ripped me off.
