Enterprise Rent-A-Car Money scam on Women victims to Fix their rental cars! Narberth, Pennsylvania
I have been very grateful to have a rental car company just down my street and have used them for many consecutive winters but will never use them again now that I have uncovered this scam that I fell victim to.
I rented a 4 wheel drive Kia and checked the car over with my son and an attendant. I had the car for one month in which it was driven first to Vermont where it was left in a heated garage for two weeks because I had use of a local car during my visit. I then took the rental car to Massachusetts to an on-sight campus to take a two week class. Again it was unused for two weeks until my return.
The car transported only myself, one suitcase and my personal pillow.
When I returned the car the attendant, very sharp shooter of a manger began to walk around the car and climb up to the roof.
He found all kinds of issues that I had supposedly done. The key one where I knew I was in for a scam was that he told me I had ruined the roof and asked what I had done to it to create this damage. I said, "not one thing went on that roof and if it is damaged you gave it to me that way!"
I said that when I got the car no one including my 5'3" self got up on that roof to check it out including your man who gave me the car. He replied that no damage was reported by his man and that it was clearly done while the car was in my possession.
They are now charging me $1,600 in damages and that includes it not being able to be rented while it is being fixed! They know it will cost more to fight this then it will for me to just pay it.
Silly them! I have been, as a said , a loyal customer for years...NOW, I will tell everyone I meet about the scam going in the little hamlet of Narberth. I am a Realtor and know everyone in the 8 surrounding towns. Each person I tell tells on average 10 people that then does the same. I am mad as hell and I'm not going to take it lying down! Watch my dust!
