Enterprise Rental Car Falsely Claiming damages to a car I rented ALEXANDRIA Louisiana
I rented a small car from Enterprise Rental Car on MacAuthur Drive in Alexandria LA. When I arrived for the rental, the rep stated it was a brand new car with only 200 miles on it. I suggested a walk around but he quickly stated"it's a brand new car.....I bought it hook line and sinker, assuming because he said it was new that it would be damage free and signed the form. When I dropped the vehicle the later that night due to work the previous morning, that would not allow me time to check it in. I knew the vehicle was fine. I had only put roughly 50 miles on it and everything was. Needless to say I was shocked the next mornging when I recevied a call from the REP at enterprise stating there was damage to the bumper of the vehicle....here I was thinking he was calling to ensure I wanted to use the credit card I left on file to close the rental deal out. I had to send my daughter to the location to get pictures of anything on the car with her cell phone. The rep pointed out what he said was damage but when my daughter wiped the "damge" he proclaimed, it came off, it appeared to be something that splashed on the car off the road. I was so dissapointed with the whole situation. My company rents vehicles from Enterpise all the time, I also use them persnally at least once or twice a month. This particular location has gone through dozens of staff changes and is not being ran professioanally at all. The rep was disrespectful and unprofessional, he laughed and tuanted me on the phone and refused to give me a managers number. I had to press him for contact information for the district manger who was out sick. I later had to make a complaint with the coporate office and received a reference number. Two days later, the district manager called back, he informed me that he would be the one coporate assigns to call me. I guess we agreed to disagree becasue he never once apologized or thanked me for my business he basically called me a liar based on what previous customers may have done. He told me the car was taken to their repair shop in pineville LA, I went by to get a close look at it and it was no where to be found and was not at the enterprise location either. I honestly believe if there was any damage to the vehicle, it was done by one of the workers their trying to move it to be washed. Though the district manager claimed the car was not moved, my duagher saw the rep getting out of it as she drov up to take pics. I am awaiting a call back from district manager who stated he would look into the matter mean while funds are still be held on my credit card and I need to rent another vehicle next weekend, Enterprise has always been the home for me to rent cars but ......I just dont know this time.

I called the district manager after noticing that my card was finally charged and they did not refund me the remaining balance from the one day rental. He stated that car was at Advance Automotive. I informed him that I drove by there 3 days straight and it was not where to be found and I even asked a worker there if they had a ford festiva for enterprise there and was told no. The district manager called me back to say the damage estimate was completed and also emailed me pics. He stated he was moving forward to pursue me for damges because the prior rental report did not show any damage to the vehicle. I never felt a customer damaged it, I felt if it was infact damaged it was done by an employee who does not want to take fault. The bumper back bumper was not damaged at all as stated to me on the phone, it appeared to be the side of the back fender and the side of the bumper was loose. I would have defintely noticed something like that when we were driving it and returned it.....this is a cover up for an employee for sure!!! I am disputing the claim 100%
I have not heard one peep from corporate at all but was given reference from them on last week, but I have emailed enterprise cares after seeing the offer for help and hopefully this matter can be looked into and resolved.
