Entrust Bankcard Representative made verbal promises Re credit card processing savings that were not in company contract Scottsdale, Arizona
Entrust calls offering to save money on credit card processing. They set up a 20 minute appointment for a local representative to make their presentation. It is all very slick. It will take much longer than 20 minutes unless you do not ask any questions and just sign all the places that they request your signature on their 13 page contract. This contract commits you to a minimum $150 monthly fee for their service for the next 5 years. This fee is on top of the credit card charges, which they claim will be low enough to offset the fee. The representative made verbal promises that if they do not save the amount of money they projected for me, I could discontinue the contract. Also, that in certain hardship cases like close of business I would be released. However none of these provisions are in the contract. Parts of the printed contract are in such small type that it is illegible. I requested additional documentation of the "side agreements" he was mentioning and have never received them.
Is this a valid company?
Have others had either good or bad experience with them?
Being asked to sign a contract that clearly states commitments and at the same time being told they will not apply smacks of a con.

The only reason they get a notification is because they ask for one. They being Entrust Bankcard or Nathan Reis, or Rhett Doolittle. These guys are crooks and should be put out of business. Their company is such a scam it is hard to believe there is not more people that take the time to report them.

no time to keep giving referrals

Don't have time to keep updating this profile...they update me everytime someone replies. I'm not sure what happened to you or why you got fired...OR why you spend all of your time dogging the company instead of finding a new job; I did save money and if you would like to contact me...I have a restaurant and you can get my information through this site. I wanted to be a loyal merchant and say something good about the company...that's all...don't have time to spend on the internet proving why I like Entrust. All I know is that I did save money and my rep is available and was very honest about how she is super busy and there are people available for me if she's not there...never had any issues except to get free paper and they always send it out next day. Good luck to you and I hope that you can find happiness.

13 Referrals???

If the rep gave you 13 referrals then he probably broke 13 federal laws. Because this DOES involve banking, they are an ISO of a bank, it is against the law to give out information on a company unless they had expressed written consent to do so. This is highly unlikely. This company is a bunch of fraudulent crooks. They are many options out there for this service and 99.99999% are a better option than this company

Not sure who this former employee is...it sounds like you are upset that you got fired. It is true...I am in an 5 year lease, but I save $300 per month...and my rep did provide references. 13 to be exact. Anyone who is interested in the program, feel free to email me. Thanks.

I saw a posting on here from a customer claiming a $300 savings, saying they spoke to several existing customers. Ha Ha! That is not true because Entrust does not give out references. The only references are hand picked and their comments are printed on a glossy flyer that is handed out when the business owner is not present for the appointment. This is a scam!!! The proposal system on the "Mac" computer is completely manipulated to show a savings and when the bill comes, there is no savings, most often fees are higher than previously paid by merchants.
1. All sales must include a lease of some kind on a piece of equipment....no exeptions!
2. Lease is for 5 years!
3. Entrust claims they are a "national interchange provider".....not true, they are simply a reseller charging a markup and making money from the leases!
Not sure how these criminals sleep at night. Don't get conned!!!

Entrust saved me $300

Hi, I own a small restaurant and just received my first statement. I was excited to save $330. I read all of these blogs a month ago and almost decided not to move forward. Fortunately, I found out that a friend of mine who owns a clothing store down the street is with Entrust and she said "go for it". After talking with several references who are very happy with the enhanced interchange program, I feel that these posts are from other previous merchant services companies who are trying to compete. I felt the need to write a good report on them as I appreciate good feedback on my food and atmosphere. Cheers.
