I had purchased a few Wordpress themes from ThemeForest without incident.  But the most recent theme I purchased did not function correctly.  I emailed the author and ThemeForest support. No answer. I went to the theme author's support website and explained the problem.  No answer.  I made a second request for assistance. No answer. A third request. No answer.

So, I initiated a PayPal dispute. Suddenly, the author responded. The author told me to give him the login credentials for my server and he'd "take a look".  I refused that request because the guy was a hack. So he refused to respond to me any further.

Meanwhile, ThemeForest blocked access to my account.  They said they would re-open the account after the Paypal issue was resolved.  That was important because several of the themes I had purchased earlier had been updated and I was entitled to the free updates.

I resolved the PayPal dispute by requesting a refund. ThemForest was forced to refund my money or risk damaging their PayPal relationship. But they were obviously upset.  They refused to unblock my account.

They wanted me to give them back my refund and then they would "consider" refunding the money directly to me.  I suspected they wouldn't give me a refund after I read so many Rip-Off reports about them.

I blew them off. Thankfully, I was refunded my money through PayPal, but they never unblocked my account and I can not update the themes I purchased earlier.

Very bad company.  They represent hacks, provide horrible service, lie to their customers and make every attempt to cheat their customers. Avoid them like the plague.
