Complaint Review: Envision Construction LLC

To begin with I believe I forgot to mention this company’s website which is:  www.envision-construction.com. 

For starters, my intention was to remodel two bathrooms in my home as a gift to my son.  I have willed my home to him and wanted to help him update it.  He is my only child, a wounded Gulf War Veteran who suffers from (PTSD) Post-traumatic stress disorder.  He lives nearby and we both help each other in any way we can.  I’m 84 years old and not exactly in the best of health.  Sadly my son was out of town on business and was not able to handle the initial negotiations and proposal.  So I took it upon myself and accepted a bid for $37,000.00 total which included $10,000.00 cash down to remodel two bathrooms.  Initially they wanted $41,950.00 total with $10,200 down.  They said it was a big job and they needed the money to cover the materials and pay their crew.  As a senior citizen on a fixed income this was too high for me even though I do have some savings.  I told them I can’t afford to do this, and they quickly said if I pay them $10,000.00 cash down, they will do the whole job for $37,000.00 total and start immediately.  I thought this seemed like a fair deal but also felt a little pressured by them.  As it turns out I was completely deceived!  They botched the job right from the beginning to the end and this turned out to be one HUGE nightmare!

This job included a remodel of two bathrooms including marbled floors, granite counter tops, new fixtures and shower.  In the beginning everything appeared fine as we discussed my projects and time frame for completion etc. Todd even brought his wife Janice, and his father Keith who was very kind and “convincing” as well. Todd did not say much, as Keith did most of the talking.  Janice told me she is a teacher at a Methodist school named Christ Church School in Fort Lauderdale.  This woman even talked to me about her experience as being a Christian.  She even offered to take me out to lunch and visit her church to meet the Senior Pastor.  I really started to believe they were good Christian people and felt some peace of mind until they decided to rob me blind!  I truly believe Janice used Christianity to earn my trust and get the job for Todd and Keith, and eventually take me for everything they possible could, including my diamond ring.

They began working five days later from when they said they would which was two days.  I was not always able to be at home to supervise the job due to my ill sister I’m caring for and having to spend the night with her when needed.  However, I had my son check on them periodically for me when he returned from being out of town.  He explained to me he found Todd’s wife Janice wandering around my master bedroom in my closet where I keep most of my valuables.  He told her to “stay out of the house and stop snooping around”.  She snapped at him like a viper and said “Who the hell are you?” with a condescending tone.  My son simple said “My mother lives here, please stay out of her home”.  This leaves me to believe she was in my home possibly “casing” it while I was not there.  Furthermore, he reported to me that he observed Todd lying down in my new lounge chairs drinking beer and smoking cigarette’s with his workers!  I approached Todd the next day and firmly explained to him that “I’m not paying you and your crew to smoke and drink on the job, and if you need to take a break that’s fine, but no alcohol”.  I also told him to keep his wife OUT of my house; she is not working this job and has no business wandering around my master bedroom.   He rudely tells me to “Chill out lady, the job will get done” and gives me a dirty look.  Anyway, I should have dumped him then, but decided to contact Keith, and he assured me everything would be fine and it wasn’t.  He’s is a smooth talker who will tell you what you want to hear.  I then returned on the seventh day and discovered the marble flooring was being installed incorrectly.  I specifically said I wanted it installed diagonally, not squared!  The man installing the marble could not speak one word of English and I assume could not understand English as he continued working ignoring me.  I just pointed to the door and told him to leave.  Todd has 3 workers with him who do not speak any English.  I called Todd and left a message about what was happening.  He was nowhere to be found for two days.  He finally calls me back and says “What’s the problem now?” in an extremely arrogant manner.   I explained and he told me he would correct it.  He said he needed to wait for more materials.  He just kept giving me the run around the whole time.  Anyway, approximately eleven days later it’s still the same, after him avoiding my calls and at one time even hanging up on me claiming we got disconnected.  The bathroom is incomplete, and my living room had dirt all over the hardwood floors.  The entire house smelled like smoke.  My son said it was a mixture of marijuana and cigarette smoke.

Approximately three weeks have gone by and the only progress made was a light fixture installed in my master bathroom and a sink/cabinet and a LARGE crack down the left center of the granite counter top!  I demanded firmly this is unacceptable and needs to be corrected along with the marble floor installed correctly which is diagonally as discussed.  I became upset rightfully so with Todd’s incompetence.  All I wanted was the job done correctly.

The last straw was when I made a surprise visit later in the afternoon after telling Todd I was spending the evening with my ill sister.  

I found Todd literally URINATING in my new sink AND my toothbrush in the toilet soaking in feces!  I could not believe my eyes observing this bizarre, insane, disgusting behavior and I came very close to vomiting!  I yelled at Todd and his crew to leave my home. 

The next thing this man did and said was so sickening, repulsive, and shocking I almost literally had a heart attack as I felt my heart jump.  He continues to expose himself while laughing at me!  He then angrily screams at me like some kind of madman and says:  “I love anal sex, you want some young d**k in your a*s old lady?” while twirling his p***s around.   I have NEVER in my entire life witnessed such perverted and obscene behavior.  He was completely out of his mind! 

His eyes were blood shot and he could barely keep them open.   I demanded him to leave immediately and ran out of the house and into my car and locked the doors.  I contacted my son and explained to him what I just witnessed.  I was shaking from nerves and having difficulty breathing and speaking.  My son told me to try to stay calm, call the police and that he is on his way.  I was too distraught and nervous to do anything including driving because I could not stop my hands and body from shaking.   I’m an 84 year old woman on every kind of medicine you can think of, so I just stayed in my car and cried.  My son arrived extremely fast and he was very angry to say the least.  He threw all of them out of the house.  Todd was obviously drunk because we found an empty bottle of “Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey” on my patio as evidence. 

Todd just laughed and used profanity towards my son.  He told my son to go “F” himself, and that you can’t prove s**t buddy” etc. He then says “Your mothers a demanding f..ing b***h as well”.   This almost got physical according to my son, and thankfully for Todd it didn’t.  My son may be a wounded warrior, but he still is a warrior who works out every day and is a big strong man that was ready to hurt Todd for his nasty mouth and disgusting antics towards me, and the shoddy work he performed.  I’m very proud of my son for keeping his problem and the situation under control and not engaging in any violence.  This is one of the most outlandish and horrible experiences of my life. 

Lastly, I had a diamond ring in my master bedroom walk in closet that is now missing!  The ring is appraised at $59,900.00 and I KNOW ONLY JANICE FORSGREN, his wife was in that closet. My son clearly caught her in the closet snooping around.  This woman is a THIEF and should be locked up in prison my opinion!  She may be working with Todd to rob people as well.  She is NOT to be trusted!  To think she may actually be working with children is an extremely frightening and disturbing thought.  If she and her husband are capable of this, can you imagine how they are around children?   God help us!  I had this ring placed in a certain area hidden on a particular shelf.  No one ever enters my master bedroom, especially my closet.  I have video surveillance set up but I’m not sure if it was activated.  This is currently being investigated.  I can only imagine how many other poor souls they ripped off charming them with religion etc.  Janice is a deceitful, spiteful hypocrite with all her religious talk.

I strongly believe Todd and Janice Forsgren intentionally ripped me off for my $10,000.00 down payment, shoddy incomplete work, and stole my $59,900.00 diamond ring.  PLEASE do not do ANY business with this so-called company “Envision Construction”.  

How they stay in business is beyond me.  They have hurt me not only financially, but mentally and physically.  They are nothing but a bunch of repugnant, greedy, cold hearted money grubbers and hypocrites that will say and do anything to get your hard earned money.  They prey on the elderly as well in my opinion.  This ordeal has severely affected my health as well.  I have contacted an attorney to recoup my money and other damages.  I believe in God, and I know that Todd and Janice Forsgren will face their wrongdoing one day.  Please stay away from these evil charlatans; they will destroy your life as they have mine.
