Complaint Review: Envy Homes and Roofing

I was contacted by A representative of Envy to fix my roof. This gentleman was offering me to help me get my claim approved for sure, then he stop answering my phone calls, and never contact me again. After months this man contacted me again, goes by name Eddie, and claimed my file got lost n put on bottom of files. I contact Mr. Rick Rodriguez part owner of this company to request info. On Eddie , n Ricardo told me he would take care of my case n forget about Eddie and his promises, but not to tell him I was switching to Ricardo, since I was going to save money because Eddie gets commission n my roof would b more expensive w Eddie.

Well Gabriel Rios Roofing contracted by Ricardo Rodriguez was hired to do my roof. I have major water damage inside all around ceiling. N my roof looks like if it’s sagging plus is all wet n u can even see molded tiles already ! Ricardo gives me a price n promises to fix my roof completely, add rafters to pick up the sagging areas, and repair water damage inside. After more than two weeks they claim they’re done, roofer Gabriel Rios, Mrs Esther Rios and also Ricardo Rios and demand payment. I had prearranged w Ricardo I was paying with credit card and then He said he never said that and it had to b paid cash or check.

Well this is not my primary residence I live in another City so, I requested pictures of job process and receive very little and pictures that would not help demonstrate damage caused by two hurricanes, wind and hail . They removed all roof and I didn’t get pics of before n after to help my claim . Well after they finished the price went up and they claiming more materials n labor done and price went up more than $1,000 which of course I sent to my Insurance to try to get it covered w all roof repairs invoice. Mrs Esther Rios calls me, n acuses me of not wanting to pay them since she claim they don’t take credit cards. Ricardo also acusses me of not wanting to pay , when they are supposed to wait until claim is processed and I get paid to pay them!

Since I don’t live in that city where house is in, they lied to me about all repairs! They never added support rafters, they failed to level front pitch rafters which they assured inntext n by phone they did! They didn’t finish job as they claimed as per Sept. 13 the roof wasn’t finished yet n they claimed was done on the 8th and demanding payment. They didn’t fix my inside water damage n Ricardo denied that was the agreement n said no way they were going to repair it! Then Ricardo Rodriguez gets contacted by my adjuster from Insurance Co. N states that the water damage is not due to hurricanes or 2 tornadoes that slapped Laredo Tx! That the problem was the lack of rafters n that was a pre existing condition since they built house on 1995!

So wind n hail was not the cause of water damage n sagging on roof so, my Insurance denied my claim! N I had to pay out of my pocket thousands of dollars . Well after only 4 mths of repaired roof, I discovered that they lied to me about leveling pitch rafters , plus they failed to replace flashing so , all front area fascia n soffit are totally rotten due to rain . Plus I go to the house and found the toilets used by employees and nastly dirty w body fluids plus oil paint all over sinks where I imagined they rinsed brushes, n they destroyed part of my floor made of linoleum, is stained n scratched like if they dragged the roof tile thru there!

Left , leftovers of foodn wrappers inside the house and outside left overs of old n new wood and roof tile on back n front yard!! When I hired my own inspector, she stated on report that rafters have not being added as they claimed and not aligned for more support , she also stated that roof has not being finished as they claimed n shingles were missing as well as the roof looked bowed! Now that I reported water damage to front of house, no flashing installed on that area , uneven rafters n uneven shingles as well as rotten fascia and soffit . I’ve been treated like a pest by Envy Co owner Ricardo Rodriguez and Roofer Gabriel Rios doesn’t even answer my phone calls!
