I was out of town, returned home and checked my accounts only to find out Epassport.Com had made a "Point of sale" on my checking account for $500. I did not authorize this transaction whatsoever. I called my bank and they gave me the number of Epassport.com. I called and talked to a person by the name of Karen. She said she would direct this inquiry to their "Fraud" department and it would take 5 days and if I did not hear from them to call them back. I filled out an affidavit with my bank and also with the local police department and also called the Marina Del Ray police and was directed to contact the LAPD. This company is a "prepaid" credit card processor along with other so called processing. Why would one want to get a "prepaid credit card" when a debit or credit card is available. This is clearly a scam and internet fraud. The number of Epassport.com appears to be a "call center". It appears several transactions were made on the same date to other unfortunate unknowing persons. It also appears these are all MasterCard transactions. The fact that anyone can easily type in a stolen number from a computer(my card was never physically stolen), give a bogus email address, and receive a "Virtual Credit Card" number by this company should make all of you aware that your money and credit is not safe anywhere.
