Complaint Review: EPDS/ Elissa Darrow Eystad

I was a tenant at 334 B Broadway from 2003 to around 2007. During that time, the rent was approximately 500 dollars.  Upon living in the flat, my boyfriend and I decided to do some rennovations to the inside. We repainted, put hardwood floors in, put window treatments on the windows and basically redid the place under the stipulation that it would be at our cost and we would enjoy the results. After seeing the interior of the place redone (after a year and a half) she spiked our rent to 750 dollars and gouged the two of us, in our early twenties and thirties. Not only that, but I paid Elissa in cash every month, on time and never in a late fashion.  When I was leaving, and current on my rent but parting ways, she filed a petition with the courts locally that said I was three months THREE months behind in my rent. A boldfaced lie. She professes all that Christian ethic with no practice of the philosophy. Elissa Darrow Eystad operates out of pure greed and selfishness. Do not do business with her.
