EPOCH.com Refuses to cancel membership even though I didn't sign up in the first place.... Juneau Internet

I signed up for a 3 day trial membership and unchecked the box that said 'renew membership for $39.95.' A week later my card was charged $39.95 so i thought, okay, i must not have checked it. I had to go to epoch.com to cancel this membership because they are a third party billing company. I got a confirmation number and an e-mail that my membership was cancelled. A month later there was ANOTHER charge for $39.95! I e-mailed them, called them, and submitted numerous 'cancel membership' e-mails on their page. All to no avail.

I called my bank and they luckily got someone on the phone who guarenteed that my membership was cancelled from now on and would give me a refund of the second charge. Since I read the other reports on this website I decided not to take a chance and cancelled my credit card. Cencelling your credit card is probably the only way to get them to stop taking your money.
