Equally Yoked Atlanta High Pressure Dunwoody Georgia
I went for my interview with Equally Yoked today. I was really excited after reading the web page. I thought how can it be bad it is "100% Christian." The sales lady was very high pressure. She even had me call my credit card company to request my balance. She told me this would be a good way to stick it to my ex. I felt very uncomfortable and have learned that if I feel this way to listen to my instincts.
The cost to join this online dating service was listed at $3000 for a year, she was going to give me a deal of $1000. She tried everything she could to try to convince me that I could not meet anyone on my own and that I needed this service. I explained that I was a single mom of three and did not have this kind of money. She got upset with me when she saw that I was not going to give her money. I did not give her any money because I felt very uncomfortable and am so glad I didn't. If this is the way the best Christian dating service around does business I would rather not do busy with a Christian dating service.
In addition, the website discussed a singles club not just a dating service. I was more interested in the online dating service those are a dime a dozen. The sales lady never mentioned anything but the dating service part.
I did not get taken advantage of and hope this post helps others to avoid it as well.

By interviewing people to pick and choose "real Christians" a person is judging and therefore going against the Bible. Jesus died on the cross for EVERYONE, not just the people that believed in him, and certainly NOT for any payment. What about real Christians who do not have money to join dating clubs that charge a lot of money? What about people who want a relationship with God but are just now finding his love or how about those that just plain NEED a relationship with God. "Jesus loved the outcasts. He loved the ones the world just loved to hate." ~ Reliant K. Where does the money collected go in private Christian clubs? If the people within Christian clubs are doing this for the right reasons then it seems they wouldn't ask for payment to interview, keep up a webpage and so on. Do any of the proceeds go toward anything other than the pockets of those involved in private clubs? "Christians" who alienate those that currently do not have a relationship with God are the reason many people are scared to death to walk into a church. "Why I hate religion but love Jesus" is a video everyone should really watch, in it he states "a church should be a hospital for the broken not a museum for the good." For any Christian with an attitude of hierarchy I'd suggest taking a hard look at yourself. If you think you really know Jesus our savior with this type of attitude then you are sadly mistaken. When all else fails, always remember WWJD?
I am VERY concerned for the direction that the Christian world is heading in.
With much love to all,

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

I am the owner of the company and am quite concerned about this person's
complaint that I just ran across. I did check our records for the time
frame she indicates that she visited our office and did not find a Tracey From Gainesville listed for an appointment, but that was some time ago. We are a 100% private dating club. We are not an on line dating service. We have a secure website that our members have access to. Our members all come to the office and must sign a statement of faith in order to join. We run criminal back ground checks as well as sexual predator, terrorist and most
wanted list checks (4 background checks in all) on anyone that joins. The
price she quoted is not inline with what we charge. I am not sure where she got these figures so she may have us mixed up with another company or it may be a posting of a dismissed, disgruntled employee. We have been in business for 13 years in the Atlanta area and have many success stories and testimonials on file. I personally would be happy to talk with the person posting the complaint and try to rectify any misunderstanding. God Bless!
