In addition to the Silver Dewy Ranch scam, the url for the horse "Scratch"  https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/f9d8e810-james-easy-keeper-all-around-nice-guy   now lists a completely different horse name (SPEEDY) , photo, details, & contact info. Call that # & you will find it is a "text only" phone #.  They will require a 10% deposit before you even see the horse

Search "BILLY", (the horse I naively lost $250 before I even saw the horse & completely lost contact with John the scammer after $ was sent via Zelle,) has been located in spencer, MA, then Hooksett, NH, then on 9/30/21 Brainerd, MA (which does not even exit!) now Allentown, PA on 10/6/21.

Beware this phone # 508-593-7910. You will only be able to text because of a "bad connection".  He will also tell you that "paypal is down" which is ridiculous, but much easier to retrieve scammed $ from because they list name, address, etc.

Also BEWARE "kindly text DR Raymond on 4792550455"

Searching buckskin quarter horse photos, I immediately found a really lazy scammer with multiple burner phones or a scammer group.

SEE below on “SPEEDY” & “JUSTIN” listings--IDENTICAL HORSE PHOTO (HORSE & SADDLE PAD & SADDLE & BACKGROUND ARE IDENTICAL except for different side of the horse in the photo and different scammer phone numbers!!!!).  Also, these 2 ads have ALMOST IDENTICAL DESCRIPTIONS!!!

SPEEDY (formerly this url was “SCRATCH” until 10/1/21 or so) https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/f9d8e810-james-easy-keeper-all-around-nice-guy

This boy has everything going for him… absolutely stunning, flawless conformation and the kind of horse that will ride exactly the same every time, regardless of whether you ride every day or one weekend every other month. SPEEDY is the epitome of the Foundation Quarter Horse breed and his highly unusual Buckskin Dun color and tiger striped legs make him stand out from the crowd. He goes back to the great AQHA Hall of Famer King P-234. He is a phenomenal arena horse and is very responsive. He has spent countless hours working cattle and would make a dynamite Jr rodeo horse. Don’t miss out on this talented gelding!. For more info text or call at 385-344-3613.  THIS IS A “TEXT ONLY” PHONE.  I guess they don’t want us to detect their foreign accent.

JUSTIN  https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/ccf17dd0-can-stay-in-the-barn-or-out-in-the-pasture  (buckskin supposedly in Durant, OK.)

ANOTHER SCAM—ACE is looking for a good home.Same photo background as Justin & Speedy (which are identical horses).  From “Kindly text Dr Ray on: 479-255-0455 (same scammer phone # as Justin) https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/6d98ebb0-and-travels-very-smooth-he-is-great-to-rope-on-outside.  JEFFERSON, MO.    Jeez, that DR Raymond on 4792550455 is in both Oklahoma & Missouri!

BEWARE the phrase_________is looking for a good home.  It could be this scammer group.

UNDOUBTEDLY ANOTHER SCAM: https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/e98d3740-easoned-gelding-who-is-handsome   JOSH  $3000 negotiable. I found it by the title--looking for a new home.  The description is another "This boy has everything going for him...absolutely stunning, etc. text mark 865-280-5142  This is certainly not a Chicago area code!

BEWARE PHONE # 385-344-3613 and ANY OTHER TEXT ONLY PHONE.  Never give a 10% deposit just so you can see the horse, even if they insist it is refundable.

Beware a low priced ideal horse that is "negotiable".  $3000 or less is way too low in this horse market.

UPDATE EQUINE.COM HORSE SCAMS

10/9/21 “SPEEDY” is now ROCKY in Arbon, ID—different horse photo & description.  Same scammer phone #.  The listing was changed 13 hours ago.  I texted w “John” who says he has been reading my postings & said “no one is stopping you, so continue.”  He knows that all he & his scammer group need to do to get a fresh group of naïve, trusting horse lovers is to change the location of the horse.  I have screenshots of Speedy & Justin being identical listings.  I also have screenshots of “ROCKY” having the same url as former SCRATCH & SPEEDY. Current ID: f9d8e810-03a2-11ec-a52c-1585acfa1b42 for Rocky.  Search views for this ad are listed as 19,272, detail views 603. That’s a lot of views for a perfect, bombproof horse that has yet to be sold!

SCRATCH has a new url now https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/bf25cfc0-rides-around-fantastic-is-great-to-ride-in-the-mountains

JUSTIN   https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/ccf17dd0-can-stay-in-the-barn-or-out-in-the-pasture (buckskin supposedly in Durant, OK.)

Don’t miss out on this talented gelding! kindly text DR Raymond on 4792550455 for more info, thanks.

I called this # which was located in Hackett, AR, not Durant, OK.  “MAILBOX FULL

ID: ccf17dd0-039d-11ec-aecf-474892939370

It will be interesting to see how the location of these horses & their id # changes over time.

ANOTHER SCAM—Ace is looking for a good home.  Same photo background as Justin & Speedy (which are identical horses).  From “Kindly text Dr Ray on: 479-255-0455 (See Justin) https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/6d98ebb0-and-travels-very-smooth-he-is-great-to-rope-on-outside

JEFFERSON, MO.    Jeez, that DR Raymond on 4792550455 is in both Oklahoma & Missouri! (and his phone is from an Arizona area code.)

UNDOUBTEDLY ANOTHER SCAM: https://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/quarter-horse/e98d3740-easoned-gelding-who-is-handsome   JOSH  $3000 negotiable

text mark on 8652805142  This is certainly not a Chicago area code!

WARNING SUMMARY FOR EQUINE.COM HORSE SCAMS:

  • BEWARE ANY “TEXT ONLY PHONE” or a “bad connection” requiring you to text.
  • BEWARE PHONE # 385-344-3613. I called this # & the text reply was “are you calling about our horse?” If I received a phone call from a different area code, my 1st guess would be a telemarketer.
  • BEWARE phone # 865-280-5142
  • BEWARE “DR Raymond on 4792550455” His horse ads have been in both Oklahoma & Missouri at the same time!
  • BEWARE SILVER DEWY RANCH Billy and Scratch
  • BEWARE someone who says “paypal is down”, so wants you to use zelle. Paypal gives you an address & name, & is much easier to get your money back in a scam.
  • Never give a 10% deposit just so you can see the horse, even if they insist it is refundable.
  • BEWARE a low-priced ideal horse that is "negotiable".  $3000 or less is way too low for an all-around perfect bombproof horse in this market.  It would most likely cost twice that, & higher if “registered”
