Looking to start my own business, I contacted other handyman type businesses to see if their ads on craigslist worked.  Which is how I come to meet Eric Foster, Handeman Services.  He was so busy, yet had time to ask me of my skills, and offer me a job.  I went and met with him and accepted his offer.   Part-time work, so I could work my own business too.  Was going to work perfect for me.

First couple week, I pretty much worked with him getting to know what he expected, then come payday Friday.  No work at last minute, his wife had emergency gall bladder surgery.  Paid the following week, no problem.  Next 2 week payday, "I forgot my checkbook, is it o.k. if I pay you in cash?"  Cash is was, no problem.

Now I am being sent out to work on my own, usually with some friend of his that needed work.  Afraid of heights, can't read a tape measure, can't cut on a line, but a helper non the less.  2 more weeks of painting, fence building, deck building, garage door opener installing, and it is pay day again. Work called off on payday, Eric lands in hospital with emergency complications from  diabetes.  Forgets checkbook all next week while bragging about how much he drank at his own birthday party Saturday night.( After getting out of hospital from diabetic emergency)

Now it is Wednesday before payday again, Sorry I have not paid your last check yet, I am going out of town for Memorial Day.  I am going to pay both check today, and no work until Tuesday.  The money is there, go ahead and cash them.  So I deposit them on Thurs the 24th of May, and go back to work on Tuesday.  "Lots of work coming, I am going to need you alot, what is you schedule?"

Now it is payday week again, 44hrs on the time slips, and no work on Friday, or the next week, but its coming, keep you schedule free, I am going to need you.  I made the trip to turn in my time slips, but Eric could not seem to meet up when he had his checkbook to pay me.  After a week of trying to meet up around his schedule, it was finally going to happen.  But wait there is more.  Now his brother has a 'seizure'.  So much bad luck for this guy.

Now it is the 18 of June, no work for a 2 weeks, and still waiting for my last 44hrs of pay.  Go to use my debit card, and I am overdrawn in checkbook, and line of credit is maxed out.  Off to bank.  Suprise, 2 check issued from Eric Foster, 500.00, and 696.00, withdrawn from account by bank, NSF.  Now I am out this money too, plus the 44hrs.

Erics response is to bad, I am not going to pay you, "And you better not go to the cops either."  Long story short, I went to the cops, and still no money, but Eric Foster does have 2 counts of issuing worthless check on his record.  He skipped his last court appearnce and now has a warrant out for his arrest also.   Eric Foster is a real class act, stay away from him.  I wish I had, Curtis, AKA another victim.

Finally collected on the bad checks.

It took from June of 2012(turned him in for the bad checks) until November 2014, but I collected on the bad checks.  As for the other 44 hrs pay, my loss, his gain.  It took several trips to the courtroom, but worth it in the end.  He had a warrant out for arrest for not showing up in court several times.  I called the sherriffs dept and gave his address.  They found him home and arrested him and off to jail.

The icing on the cake, making it all worth it was the judge ripping him a new one at the last court hearing.  I guess Judges don't like thieves.  Since then, he changed his business name, his wife left him, multiple evictions, and run-ins with the law. Once a loser, always a loser I guess.
