I was contacted by Eric Holland from Dual Recruit www.dualrecruit.com regarding assistance with my job search. Applying to so many jobs, it's not uncommon to hear from recruiters or be solicited for other services along the way. Apparently, Eric places ads on careerbuilder.com and when you contact him for the position that looks better then ever, he pitches you his company that he "works" for. Turns out he owns the company that's only been around for about a year. He wants you to sign up with him for a small fee of a few thousand dollars. In turn, he promises a job for you within 60 days or he doesn't get paid. You don't even have to put any money up front, what could be better!?

What would be better is if you could actually get a job. He mass faxes your resume to people who don't even know why they are getting resumes sent to them. In fact, a few call to complain wondering why they are suddenly getting resumes on their personal fax machine or in a doctors office. I was scared a few times when the sheriff or DEA called me, but then realized they were calling about my resume and told me I had to go online to fill out an application if I wanted to be an officer. I'm in sales, and unless selling drugs is legal, I don't think I have a shot at a sales position with the DEA.

After researching Eric Holland, I found out he was involved in an e-bay scam with some phones. When I dug further, I couldn't find anything on him except some web address information that usually gave me dead ends. When I asked him for his physical office location, he gave me a partial address that ended up at a PO box at a UPS store. Not a real great place to run a business. Not to mention he told me he worked in a big office with departments downstairs and a boss in a big office upstairs. Unless he's a mouse and has multiple PO boxes, nothing makes sense.

I confronted Eric about all of this and of course he denied. So I took screen shots and sent them all to him so he could refresh his memory. I assume it might help clear things up for him. They do say a pathological liar usually forgets their stories, so my help should hopefully cure him. For all, I'd watch out for Eric Holland and anything to do with www.dualrecruit.com or any recruiting company. You might want to use his phone numbers as references too just in case.
