Eric Tomas ebay ripped me off on a set of 24" tires and rims on an ebay auction Ripoff Milano Italy Internet
On March 15, 2005 my son was on e-bay looking for tires and rims and came across an auction for a set of 24"tires and rims. They did not have a reserve so he made a offer of $1,000.00 to close the bidding. The seller took our offer.
The seller told us she was in Lousiana but the money was to be sent to Milano, Italy and that she could only take Western Union. So we purchased a Western Union money transfer ($68.00) and sent the money and she told us the items would be delivered by FedEX in 2-3 days. They never came.
We went back online to e-bay and discovered this person had auctioned the same items to another person in Massachusettes 2 days later and he never received the merchandise either. This person also spent about $600.00 more than I did.
I have a complaint with the ifccfbi and have not heard a word. E-bay needs to do a better job of screening their auctioneers. I found out this is not a female as they led me to beleive and that this person has been all over the world.
I also found out this was a stolen identity case and the woman whose identity was stolen is very upset also.

Please remember that, in ebay, the word fraud is spelled "Western Union".
Had you used Paypal funded by a credit card, you'd be charging the transaction back, and Paypal would eat the loss.
You're probably out the money.
Please look at the Trust & Safety Community Board on ebay to learn more.
