We bought our house in April 2002 knowing we would need new windows. We had the misfortune of being approached that fall by two salesman from Erie construction. We purchased windows for the whole house and overpaid big time. We should have gotten several estimates and we didn't. The financing company they arranged for us to go through has also made our lives pretty miserable. When we looked into refinancing noone would deal with them. We are currently paying 14.5% on our windows loan. Which is just starting to get below $20,000. We have 3 or more windows that or hazing between the paynes. Our front door handle fell apart. After several calls to the service department we went to the Home Depot and replaced it ourselves. Our one patio door won't even shut properly because it was not installed very well. They have these contractors not even affiliated with them who just come and take the work whether they are qualified or not. We get frequent calls want us to buy more from them but when we tell them about our bad windows they can't help because they are just telemarketers. I am dedicating this week to getting them out here to fix all this crap. Which by the way I have to pay a service fee on my completed warranteed Erie construction products I purchased which is also a load of crap. We shouldn't have to pay for anything I think we are paying enough for a poor decision. I would never recommend this company to anyone, for anything.
