I'm a captain on the website Boatsetter.  They connect people with boat owners and captains.  I was booked as a captain for a full day charter on Oct 12, 2019.  On Oct 10, 2019 the person calls in to cancel or change the date to the first saturday in November (November 2nd).  

Both the renter and I agree in the notes on boatsetter that the first Saturday we will go out.  So i let the renter off on the 5 day cancellation policy when he changed dates just 2 days prior.   Move now to Oct 30 just a couple days before our new date of Nov 2 and the guy now wants to change the date to April 11, 2020.

 I decline and advise that the boat is only availble this weekend Nov 2nd.   I call boatsetter and they have advised that they changed the date to Nov 9th without my knowledge or consent and said that the contract date stated Nov 9 and cancelled the trip and gave the renter a full refund back with no regard for my business.  





This renter tried to cancel twice within 2 days of the trip.  I missed charters and got the rug pulled from underneath me by this Manager Erik Holms.  This guys has no clue on how to run a business.  Stay away from this company, they will only screw you in the  end after working on their platform for over 2 years.

Erik Holms in a recent email advised me that I should have logged into the Boatsetter app and noticed that they changed the date without my knowledge or consent.  I had from Oct 10 to Oct 30th to have noticed that they made a change.

 Unreal how the upper management of this company has been trying to avoid paying 935.00 dollars.  This company really is a joke, STAY AWAY!
