I have for the past two days rread and printed every complaint on this board how Fairbanks, akaa Equicredit,aka Ocwen,aka Loan Lenders and who knows how many aka's they truly are, have been bulling people out of their homes. For one, I'm sick of it. I work in an attorneys office where I handle hundreds of Bankruptcies and cringe whenever I see the mortgage holder is Fairbanks. The red flags go up because they are who we have our mortgage through.

We haven't seen a statement for months but before anything else is paid, the mortgage is sent. Then we started getting late notices so I put the date the check was mailed to the date on my bank statement that it was cashed. Ding!They have held the check anywhere from 15 to 20 days past the due date. Second red flag goes up when someone on this board mentioned that someone was out taking pictures of their home claiming to be from their insurance company.

It happened to us. I will fight for ALL of us, not just my husband and myself. I will be heard even if I have to go sit on the steps of the capital building until they let me in and have my say. Predatory lenders preys on those of us who have worked hard all our lives but still years later run into troubled times."United we stand,devided we fall".

I'm doing a lot of the leg work here but I do need to know you are behind me when the time arrives. I haave over 2,000 pages against Fairbanks right now and I'm sure I'll have three time that many in a few days. I'll find a way you can contact me even if I have to place an ad in your town's newspaper. I'll let you know when to look. God Bless us All!

I found out February 15th, or there abouts, that my mortgage "servicing" had been transfered to Ocwen from New Century. Letter is dated 2/12/03. Being the cautious one, that I am, I had already made my March payment the day before I received the notice.

I immediately checked this site for information on Ocwen, and was quite dismayed with what I'd read. Well, here I am on March 14th and no contact from Ocwen so I proactively contacted them to find out my account number for payment. I spoke with Norman and he had all of my information correct, including the next due date of April 1st. He said that since I had called him this would be my "official" welcome call and I should receive a statement shortly.

I immediately made arrangements for my bank to start the payment procedure. Then, on SUNDAY NIGHT, I get a call from a woman I can barely understand telling me this is my welcome call. Needless to say I was dumbfounded, as I had just completed that part of things last friday. I can already see the writing on the wall. I've started a file on everything related to my mortgage payments, information, etc. I only hope it will protect me to some degree.

Linda, I am totally behind you. 100 percent.This company has to be brought out and placed into the spotlight so people across the nation can see the immoral and illegal practices which seem to guide this company.Only then may we get prominent politicians and lawyers to step-up and bring this company "onto the carpet".I will continue to contact local and national media with the hope that someone will stand up and take notice.I personally am having a hard time getting a lawyer in New Jersey to step-up, but i will send all my info and join any class-action suit brought against this despicable company.KEEP UP THE GOOD FIGHT.

LINDA, I HAVE TAKEN UP THE FIGHT IN AMARILLO. I WANT TO HELP YOU IN ANYWAY I CAN.YESTERDAY A MAN WALKED IN TO OUR OFFICE WITH HIS FORCLOUSER NOTICE FROM FAIRBANKS, A LAWYER WE WENT TO SEE GAVE HIM OUR INFORMATION, HE IS A FARMER WITH A SICK WIFE AND A MOTHER IN A NURSING HOME. HE WAS AFRAID TO TELL HIS FAMILY BUT WE CONVINCED HIM HE NEEDED TO AT LEAST TELL ONE SON SO HE CAN HAVE SOMEONE TO HELP HIM WITH WRITING LETTERS AND STAND BESIDE HIM IN THIS BRUTAL FIGHT.

I HAD HIM CALL THE HUD INSPECTOR GENERAL HOT LINE AND AS HE SPOKE TO THEM HIS EYES WELLED WITH TEARS. BECAUSE SOMEONE WAS FINALLY LISTENING AND WANTING TO HELP HIM.

i am in the same situation that every body is in they going to try to foreclose on my house they say iam four months behind on my loan when in fact i thought i was two months ahead, i have fought with them about over billing, insurance charges that i dont need, inept rude apes ( didnt mean to insult apes) at costumer no service not one of them can give me a straight answer or have the same one. i now have an attorney a friend but whats recommmended to me is if we all get together and file a class action suit, iam glad i found this sight my wife and i dont sleep anymore.so like linda we are gonna fight but it would be nice to have some back up, ill be keeping an eye out and my telephone 24 hours but we are with you linda and all the rest ,we know we know what is happening.

I too have had enough of this Company I got placed with this Bunch in April of 2002 and have had nothing but trouble. To Joyce In Oxnard Californa I agree there needs to be a NationWide Class Action Law Suit against Company. Sence Your Husband is a Lawyer, and you are going though the same thing with your Daughter maybe he can suggest how to get this started.

I too was part of the Media Bliss on 2/9/2003 and I hope someone takes notice.

My husband and I are victims of Fairbanks also.
I emailed and wrote to EVERYONE I could think of.
Some (very little) good has come from it. I snail mailed letters with copies of proof to the Governor of Utah and to the Florida State Comptroller. I heard back from both of them. They wrote to Fairbanks, included my original letters and let them know that they had 30 days to respond to them and to me also.

Well..I actually heard back from Fairbanks. WOW...there were a few mistakes made and my account was credited for 6 months of late charges. (Fairbanks took over my loan from EquiCredit just 8 months ago!!)

I am still arguing over other "makes no sense" charges and will hear back from that also. Hopefully soon. I was at work, but called my husband and told him to call Fairbanks and make this months payment over the phone. He did and go figure..they had no idea that we had "credit" in our "suspense" account and that we didn't have to make the full payment this month. (Credit from the late charges being put back) He argued with them and told whoever it was he was talking to that he would fax them a copy of the letter that we received from Jeff Myers (A Consumer Affairs Consultant from Fairbanks) Well, they finally found our "credit" and the payment was made. Of course as of today, this payment was not posted yet. (I checked online) We did the same thing last month and the payment was posted the exact same day we made it. (maybe because of the letter they received from Utah and Florida????)

I told my husband to call back tomorrow and question why the payment hasn't been posted yet. Today is the 11th....after the 15th they can add a late charge...hmmm. What do you think they'll do???

Also, Fairbanks sent us a letter back in August stating that we would start receiving our monthly statements in September. We never did. According to their response letter to the Governor and the Comptroller, that is a request that we have to put in once a year and our request expired in September! Does that make any sense? But as of December, we have received a statement every month. Mr. Myers stated in his letter that he "requested the manually generation of these statements to be reset as of December 26, 2002."
How nice...made him look like he really did us a favor and went out of his way for us.

Well, at least I'm getting a statement every month. (for how long though?) Why would they tell us in August that we would start receiving statements in September, but yet the request was suposed to have expired in September?????? Makes no sense to me, but not much about this company does.

Anyway...Fran, you are not far from me. Matter of fact, I get the South Bend Tribune. We are about a half hour from each other.

And to everyone...I'm behind you all 100%. I have had nothing but PROBLEMS with this company from the beginning.

I have submitted a report already on this company AND SUPPORT YOU 100%, lINDA. I have written to Bill O'Reilly, 20-20, etc. My husband is an attorney and we have been supporting our daughter who is going through the same DECEPTIVE LENDING PRACTICE that everyone on the Rip-Off Report is. My husband has written several letters to the company on behalf of our daughter and the response from them is laughable, who are they kidding? They enclosed a statement that only a CPA could figure out - and it might take them forever to do so. What about a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT WITH EVERYONE PARTICIPATING FROM ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES?

COUNT ME IN TO HELP IN ANY WAY I CAN.... I WILL GO TODAY, 2/11/03 AT 230 PM FOR MY CHAPTER 13 BANKRUPTCY HEARING. I TOO, HAVE A REPORT ON THIS FORUM. I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THE BATTLE FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS NOW.

I HAVE SPENT ALL OF MY RETIREMENT, PAWNED THE TITLE TO MY CAR IN DESPERATION, AND THEN FINALLY TOOK MONEY TO PAY OTHER BILLS TO SEND TO FAIRBANKS JUST SO MY HOME COULD BE PROTECTED.

THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I WASS JUST A BASKET CASE. BUT I AM A TOUGH OLD BIRD AND I'VE FOUGHT WORSE BATTLES....

I DON'T HATE ANYONE... THAT IS A VERY STRONG EMOTION... BUT I DO HATE FAIRBANKS...... ANY ADD IN THE MACON TELEGRAPH AND NEWS IN MACON, GA WILL BE SEEN IN THIS AREA.....

Hi Linda!

COUNT ME IN! My mother is still fighting with these jerks, aka WMC MORTGAGE CORP, FAIRBANKS CAPITAL CORP or who ever the hell they are. I will also email all the news stations as well on 2/9/2003 UNITED WE STAND FAIRBANKS WILL FALL!

My mothers forclosure has been stopped for the time being, BUT WMC Mortgage Corp/Fairbanks STILL has her showing she owes for Oct,Nove,Dec,Jan and Feb payments, though she has sent them payments EVERY MONTH!

I am at wits end with this! THEY MUST BE STOPPED! I am a realtor in Augusta and I have NEVER seen anything like this company! EVER!! Now when I get my buyers pre-qualified I make sure I know the lender is a reputable one and will not allow a deal to close if I know it is a predatory lender!

My name is Michelle and as for privacy reasons I cannot give you any more information on myself but I really need to talk with you! Let me explain, I also am from Ohio and I am currently in contact with a lawyer in South Carolina. We have e-mailed information back and forth on Fairbanks and he is in the process of finding a group of lawyers in the Ohio area to take on our State.

Also, last night I sent a letter to The Attorney General's office asking for his review of the situation in Ohio and letting him know all the other States that have notified their State Attorney. I also gave him the link to this web site and just asked him to read a few of these stories and any human can see that what they are doing to hard working American families is an outrage!

I will check back on this page to see if you response and if there is a way we can talk, because I really want to STOP FAIRBANKS as fast as we can! Thank you for your time.

Please add my name to your list of people who want to fight back. It is too late for our home to be saved as they will be starting foreclosure very soon. If you put an ad in the paper, please put one in the South Bend Tribune in Indiana. I also sent a letter off to Dateline NBC. Maybe if enough of us write to them we can bring Fairbanks illegal tactics out into the open. We are surely the tip of the iceburg. I know how you feel I am with you all the way I started last year with Equicredit and asked for my pay ments to be added to the end of the loan they said my loan was not old enough.

But struggled through the year and since novemember tried to make some arrangements to pay my latness.

But just like everyone elses statement, hang ups, pay ment plans that you can not afford. Something needs to be done and as quick as possible. If you fairbanks ocwen or equicredit is listening your are losing $$$$$$.

Work with the home owners and set up plans that everyone can afford. You can not think you can own all of USA. I hope there is someone out there that can help all of us if these companys think they are bigger then Bill Gates...

That's the right attitude! My respects. Count on me. I guess you should start by contacting Mr. Hansen (that way the spyes will not hurt the job before is done). Something else can be done if we all unite in some king of effort supervised for people we trust.

As of now, you should use online payments originated at your bank (they have to post if because your bank guarantee that and it is a witness of your payments) I do that. Provide a week or ten days because Ocwen has a license "to transfer moneyes"; but will not accep electronic payments from your bank which will need to send it physically to Ocwen ( but you will have the confirmation number proof from your bank for your protection) And, after that, I am not satisfied with my bank statement and ask for copies of the payments.

I also tell Ocwen that I will not paid without an statement. (everything in writing, of course) Send coie to the FBI, local, state, and national levels (they keep an eye on each other). Reserve a fixed amount of money for Certified Mail letters to the UNIVERSE (your witness) and for your generous files. I am always ready!
