Eroticy will not comply with my many email requests sent to Lisa@eroticy.com to delete my profile. Representatives on chat would not adhere to my request. The request have turned into demands. I have joined other sites and they honored my request when I wanted to cancel or delete my membership. I do not understand how it is legal for these people to keep my personal information and picture in their files when I specifically requested the profile be deleted. Please help me. I have been requesting via email for approximately a week. I and my wife have sent many emails to Lisa and she keeps giving us lame excuses. She writes me and my wife saying the profile isn't visible to the other members. My wife went to the website amd did not sign in with a username or password... she did not use my username and password. Eroticy accused my wife of logging in when all see did was enter as a visitor and did a random search for my age group within 5 miles of our zip code. My profile was the first one on the page... very visible.

I and my wife are still emailing Lisa and will continue to do so until someone else gets involved and get better results. I do not want the profile deactivated, hidden or whatever else they said they were doing. I want the profile deleted from their files. Am I right is believing that the information in that particular profile is my property, not theirs? How can they hold information and my picture in their files without my permissiom? I have asked them why did they want to retain my profile. They won't answer my question or questions? Please help me remove that profile. I don't feel safe with that thing out there like that. The profile name is Harleydewd's Profile. Please, Please help me. These people don't give you much information.

Since writing...the profile can't be found. When conducting a search for men in my age group within 1 mile of my zip code...where my profile use to appear...it is nolonger there. I have reported them to a reputable organization. John, I am quite sure they still have my profile and IF it reappears...my wife and I will be as insistent as we were in having the profile removed. I am waiting for a report from the aforementioned. Thank you, John for your comments and the suggestion. Thank you, Rip-Off Report for allowing me voice.

] Am I right is believing that the information in that particular profile is my property, not theirs?

Sorry to say, Tony, you most likely agreed to the same terms of service I did, which plainly state that once you submit material to Eroticy for your profile, it's theirs to use forever. Their agreement also grants tacit permission to duplicate your text and images elsewhere, say on affiliate sites with a less than honest roll call. You have no moral rights in this matter, to borrow a phrase used in copyright law.

Profiles on their service are not generally deleted. They simply die on the vine when abandoned. An inactive account still has value to them for ostensible member statistics, capice? They also keep new members busy sending messages down those sink holes as they exhaust the free trial or roll over to another billing period.

] Eroticy accused my wife of logging in

Yes, they like to log IP addresses, thwarting both site abuse and investigation of their system by the disgruntled. As to customer service, there is no "Lisa" by all accounts, being a concept and not a person.

What I recommend to anyone about to quit a dating site is the following:

It is vital you "clean out your desk". Replace your warm invitation with nonsense and your photos with anything but your own headshots, _then _ delete if the site allows. (Some sites won't permit a full wipe, for the tacit purpose of recycling your data.) It might also be smart to use and re-use the same generic file names for images you upload, like "prf_ 001", to make it that much harder for the profile raiders to exploit your well-intentioned submissions once you leave.
