I paid Housebank bank off to Midland collection agency in 2004. i settled this account with them. I thought I was finished with them.
I got a leter in the mail box saying that i now owes ers for the same account I paid off in 2004. I called Midland and ask them about this account and they told me that it was paid off already.
I got a copy of my credit report, it has that it was paid on 1 of my credit report. The other credit report shows that I still owes this. I called them to ask them about this account they said they sold it to a collection agency called midland. Midlands now said that the acoount was paid in full with a settlement which was not reported on my experian credit report. I was trying to buy a car and this is showing that i owe a dedt that is not owed to anyone on this.

GET THE REPORT WHICH SHOWS YOU PAID AND SEND IT TO THE CREDIT BUREAU THAT INDICATES IT ISN'T PAID ...

Also if you have anything written from Midland send that to. The Credit bureau only has a limited time (30 days?) to correct your record after notification. If the bureau doesn't then you have a case against the offending bureau.

Steve and J-Lakewood will probably be along shortly with additional info
