Hey VegasLarry,
I hope you post what happens when you call tomorrow. I just spent the last hour going over all of my Embarq bills online. I inititally was looking for a way to lower my bill, when I saw a charge of $13.70 a month from ESBI!! On my Embarq bill it states it's for Voice Mail ID Theft Service?!?! Of course I never signed up or authorized this, nor do I have a clue as to what it is!! I went back on my bills & I have been charged this amount for thirteen (13) months!!! It comes to a total of $178.10!!! Sigh, this makes me ill :( I will be calling Embarq tomorrow too.

I did try the 800 number for ESBI, it had some short message that had nothing to do with phones, then the line was totally silent so I thought maybe it was transferring my call so I waited about a minute, heard some clicks.. then of course the call was cut-off. No, I was NOT at all surprised. You're probably wondering how I let this go by so long without knowing. I opted sometime ago not to get paper bills from Embarq, and pay my bill online. Actually my daughter pays it and I reimburse her. She never looks at the bill, just trusts it's correct. Sine my DSL, and long distance calls are all included I never questioned it either until I got to looking today. I am outraged that a company as large as Embarq (formerly Sprint) would allow any company to add charges without checking with the customer first!!!

I will raise holy he!! tomorrow, and demand a full refund of ALL my monies!!! If they don't agree, I will report this issue to the FCC, BBB, and anyone else I can think of that may have an interest!!! I am NOT a happy camper to say the least!!! I too will post after my call to Embarq tomorrow and update everyone as to my success... hopefully :)
