ESBI Billed $14.95 through local phone company(Windstream)for voicemail services that were never requested Internet

ESBI was allowed to attach a billing statement to my phone bill without any evidence of verification of authorization from Windstream, our local Phone Company. How is this fraudulant practice allowed?

There is over 17 pages of complaints on this sight and yet ESBI continues to freely bill at will. What really upsets me is that there is NO consumer protection measures going on at the Phone Companies themselves to prevent this from ever happening.

Please be proactive and continue to watch your monthly billings. Seems no one else is interested in putting and end to the rip-off!

So here's the question to you? Is your local phone company with you when you are doing things online? Or in the grocery store? Or when your at your home? Does your local phone company hold your hand and watch everything you do? I highly doubt they do. So here's my question, how are they to know what your doing in your spare time? How is your phone company to know that you didn't contact ESBI to start whatever services this is? Yes they can allow it b/c they are not in your home and do not know if you've contacted this other company.
