Received my phone bill from Embarq on September 30, 2006. A charge from ESBI for voicemail services appeared. Contacted phone company to dispute charge; they told me to contact ESBI.

Tried calling ESBI on Saturday, but could not reach anyone, the phone just rang and rang.

Called ESBI on Monday, October 2, 2006. Spoke with Delores and requested that they credit my phone bill and cancel ESBI services, which were never ordered. The phone bill is in my husband's name.

Delores indicated to me that Eddie Purdy ordered the service, and I told her I was Edie Purdy and I never ordered the service.

She said Embarq would be credited and the service was cancelled. She also said it would probably take a couple of months to reflect the credit on my account.

It only took them one month to put it on my account, why should it take them a couple of months to correct their apparent rip-off attempt?
