I purchased a voucher for an I phone charging case from Living Social from the Charging Depot.     Living Social charged $18 and the company an additional $5.95 shipping and handling.      I have never reeived the case.    I attempted to contact the company namy times but their customer service inbox is "not accepting messages:.     I tried to email to no avail.   I finally got an email stating that they were experiencing some problems with "fraudulent or erroneous tracking numbers" with the USPS.     After additional research I came up with the email address of Bernie Bank at Widget N Things which is bernie@your cbc.com.   I found the company mailing address to be ESM Enterprises, LLC, 44 Jason Ct., St. Charles, MOP 63304, phone number 636-486-7255.    This phone number is not valid.  I found another company with the name of ESM Enterprises, Inc. which has a banner on their webpage stating that they are not associated with this company and points out the difference of LLC vs Inc.    They also state that they are getting 10 - 15 calls a day  about this company.   i was also able to locate the name Eric McChesney who is apparently a big wig in this company and was able to email him at eric@ssm-enterprise.com.   Surprisingly he did respond stating he would look into it.      I then got another email stating that the item would be reshipped.     Again the tracking info is bogus and the item did not arrive.

Additional research shows that this is a mass problem which Living Social refuses to acknowledge.    They state that they vet their companies before accepting their offiers on their sites.       Yeah, right!     After many, many complaints, I did get a refund from Living Social along with a $10 credit.     This does cover my loses so I am not out anything at this point.    Of course, I will not be using Living Social again so in essence I am still out the shipoping and handling of $5.95 from this company.

If anyone has any great ideas on how to pursue this issue and at least get this company out of business, please let me know.    I am going to contact the AG in Mo. with a complaint and also file a mail fraud complaint with the USPS as they have alleged many times that it is a PO problem.      I am also filing a fraud complaint with my bank since I put it on my credit card.

Purusing the web, I find that there are many many people out there who also got scammed by this company and Living Social.      LIving Social has yet to admit that there is a problem.

I don't know about anyone else but I will not be ordering from LIving Social again.      If they had just owned up to the problem and contacted the people who purchased the vouchers, I would have been satisfied but they actually give you the run around all the time as if you are the only person experiencing this problem.

On the other hand, I also have found thru my searching that these cases do not work.      People allege that they actuallky ruin the phones by burnning out the charger.      Supposedly Apple has verified this also.

Bottom Line is that perhaps I am one of the lucky ones since my phone is still in working order.    Perhaps if I had received the case, I would have to buy another phone like some other people.

This is outrageous.
