I, too, was ripped off to the tune of $16,000 by Espresso Italia, only the were going by the name of Espresso Express at the time (2001). Same location, same players, same scheme. I couldn't get them to give me a list of successful distributors other than the schill from south Florida who conducted our 1 day training class. I paid $15 per appointment they set in order for me to demo the machines I was trying to GIVE AWAY to restaurants.
After spending an additional $450 for appointment setting, I placed 3 of my 12 machines. I collected a total of $70 for my $16,000 investment. The company refused to return phone calls after they got my cashiers check. I still have 8 machines in unopened boxes in my attic. I threw away at least 100 bottles of coffee after storing them in a refrigerator for over a year. I'm sorry to see that people are still getting ripped off by these scammers.
